it came up on my Facebook page (my guess is because I liked the Cole & Marmalade page).

I am not sure what I think about it?

There are already music CDs for pets that you can buy. I got one years ago. It's just soothing classic music with some brids chirping in the background.

Has anyone tried the tunes from musicforcats?  If so, did your cats seem to enjoy it.  The music is composed specifically for cats; it's not just classical music with birds chriping.

I was given the kickstarter Music for Cats CDs as a gift.  It is interesting to say the least.  My cats do like it.  Yet my problem is that I forget to turn it on for them!  Not worth the money at all and was quite a hassle.  The composure had no idea on the selling end.  He did his best, but was way overwhelmed.

Thanks for the heads-up.  I might order it anyway, since you said your cats seem to enjoy it.  And the price is relatively reasonable.  If nothing else, it might be an interesting novelty item :-)

As a follow-up, I downloaded the first album offered by music for cats (there are two CDs now).  Hmmmm.  It's a little too early to tell if Archie and Lucy give it two paws up.

I put the music on repeat and played it through the remote speakers in kitchen and bedroom.   Mid morning, Archie usually joins me in my office.  Yesterday, while playing the music, he opted instead to curl up on this window seat in the bedroom.  Perhaps he was attracted to the music or maybe he just wanted to soak up the sun light, which was especially beautiful and bright.  Hard to say.  I will say that both Archie and Lucy slept much longer than usual.

The music lands somewhere on the new age end of the spectrum.  While not something I would choose to listen to, it wasn't the least bit annoying or irritating to my ears.  Fine for background music.

I'll have to see how Archie and Lucy react long-term.  So far, I feel it was a reasonable investment.  The music might be something to consider for cats who are left alone for long periods of time.
