Hello.

I have been wanting to ask The Cat Site this question since my kitten was only weeks old.

I have a kitten affectionately named Twitch. His name is twitch because ever since he was very young he is almost constantly twitching, especially when falling asleep.
But that's not all.

He also has a big problem with walking. His two back legs will go flying in the air when he is walking, and it seems to be out of his control. My friends and family think it's adorable, but I can't stop thinking about this being some misfiring in his brain. This leg thing sometimes causes him to fall off of high places.

He also doesn't seem to be able to visually lock on to people or objects very easily, I sometimes have to clap and call him. He will look all around then once he sees me he will sprint to me. He also sits right next to my feet or my family's feet and just stares up at us. He is very tiny and unfortunately gets knocked around if we don't see him. Same with my old dog. He will walk with her right under her belly and they cause each other to stumble. It's strange.

He is months older now and his walking does seem to be getting SLIGHTLY better, but nothing else has changed.

Does anyone know what is wrong with Twitch?
Is something wrong with his neurological functions?

Thank you so much for any help :)

Have you spoken to your vet about it? Poor little guy, I am wondering what the vet would have said about this behavior.

no I haven't. I'm normally the type to bring my animals to the vet about every little thing, but I was told by two people they will either say they can't do anything about it, or give me really bad news about putting him down or saying he doesn't have long to live..

Twitch isn't as severe as the one you posted, no but I did find one SORT OF like him
Exept his legs go up very very high and his motor skills are better.

However something worse has come up. He is now popping blood..
His. Diarrhea has stopped since I changed his diet, however recently he had an accident and there was 1/3 blood in his stool.
I have made an appointment for him now since this is severe.

I am hoping all of this isn't related..
