My kitten (now 6 months old) is very healthy.  I caught conjunctivitis from some foster kittens when he was younger but was treated and it resolved.  Now he's got it again (first day) so I'm treating with Terramycin.  Is this something that will always flare up in his life?  Poor little guy.  He is my profile pic, Luka!

It's possible that this will be a chronic problem.  He might have a very mild case of herpes and that is what is causing the outbreaks.  Have you discussed possible underlying problems with the vet and/or other medications to help treat it?

The head of our rescue group has recommended adding the supplement Lysine to his food. His eye is finally starting to get better now (less squinty and red).  I'm gonna do the Terramycin for a few more days.  It resolved it before.  I just hope he doesn't get this very often.  It looks so uncomfortable for him.  Maybe as he grows older his immune system will be stronger to fight it off?  He's only 6 months old now.  Thanks for your response!
