Happy last week of October!  This month completely flew by for me.  I have definitely kept busy.  Last week I had 3 great questions come to mind but right now I can't think of a single one of them.  One I remember I came up with while i was driving to the grocery store.  That is not helping me remember the actual question though!  It had something to do with something...

So for this week the question is:

How often do you get your hair cut?

I don't get mine cut often.  It's getting very long again.  I haven't had even a trim since June of last year!!  Its driving me crazy but I'm not paying a lot for a tiny trim.  I'm trying to get enough to do a good donation again.  The last time I managed a 14" pony tail.  I'm not there yet!  But I'm laying on it.  DH has rolled on it in bed.  i sit back on it and it gets caught in stuff.  I look like an 80s rocker when I wake up in the morning.  It's crazy.  But I'm thinking if I can make it to March I'll have enough.  My BFF went through her 2nd round with cancer this year.  I sent my last pony tail to Panteens program.  Because I do it for my BFF: I wanted a program that works with women with cancer.  I figure with all that my BFF went through (chemo and a stem cell transplant); I can make it a few more months.  She is truly awesome.

Once I get this donation done; I'll probably go back to getting it cut 2-3 times a year.  I like it long;but not this long.
I just need to be able to pull it back; but not look unkempt either.  I don't know why I hate spending money on my own hair.  I cut DH's with an electric trimmer; but I take DS to my hairdresser about every 8 weeks.  She is fantastic with him; even when he is squirmy.  DD only gets her hair cut twice a year too.

My mom cuts my hair once it gets long or my bangs need to be cut. I refuse to go to hair dressers here they screwed up my hair once and I got teased in high school because of it.. so I do not trust them. She just trims the ends and my bangs. Nothing fancy.

Not as much as I used to.  About 4-5 times a year.  It tends to keep it's shape pretty well until suddenly it doesn't.

Whenever I go is when I get it recolored; highlights actually.  They also look pretty good for about 3 months although 4 is pushing it.

I think I just went a year between haircuts! :anon: I always mean to be better about it, but I never make it there. I hate sitting in front of a mirror for so long (and it always end to take forever, as my hair takes a while to dry).

I have short hair, so I really ought to have it cut every 4-6 weeks. But I never seem to find time for it, so I end up only getting it cut once every 3 months or so. I start to look pretty moppy by the time I get around to it! :lol3:

When my hair was long I'd go maybe 2-3 years in between trims. I'm just not good at going in for haircuts!

I  had very long hair and it's not easy, washing and drying it takes too much time so last year I decided to cut 5'' usually I cut it every 2-3 years.

I am thinking to cut short, Macha hates my long hair, she bites it and pulled my hair ...ouch my hair Macha!  LOL

I hate spending money to the hair salon too, so I cut my bangs and color my own hair.

It's a job to color my own hair but I am saving almost 80.00 dollars

About every two months or so. I go to the salon every 4 weeks for a root touch-up and she gives me a trim every other visit.

I could color my own hair (and did so for many years), but I don't like the mess involved. I'm a very sloppy colorist and I don't do a decent job no matter how hard I try. So I spend $60 monthly on a good color and then a trim every other month. It's worth it to me.

Never.

I like it long, I don't bother getting it cut. I think I must have saved myself a fortune on trips to the hair salon.

My hair is just below my ears, cut in lengths because it is so thick. I am blessed to have it. At my age, many women have to deal with arranging their hair to cover their thin spots. Both my sisters do.

Anyway, I decided maybe a year or more ago to get a different look. I had been wearing my grey hair, silvery color, and loving it. But grey hair is textured different. My hair had always been coarse, but the grey is super fine. I thought coloring would add some body. I wanted it to look natural and without a bad root line if I decided to go back grey. So my stylist foils it with highlights and low lights. I still have grey blended in.

I went four months although it was looking greyer all the time. I had grown it all out to one length, cut short at the nape of my neck and angled towards the front. People told me it was beautiful. The problem was I am a small person, with a small face. Even with it being such a short length, the thickness of it over powered my face, so I had her cut it in lengths. I don't like it as well but it looks better. Now people can actually see my face. It gets trimmed every six to eight weeks now.

I go to the salon every 5 weeks to have my color touched up. (Yup, lots of silver in that new growth!)   I also only get it cut every other time.

A few months ago, I decided to take off 3 inches because it was just getting to be too much. It still takes 20-30 minutes to blow it out straight, but it feels better!

Last month, I changed my color up a little to a deeper, richer red for fall. It had been the same shade for a long time, & was time to change it up!!

Here's a picture my friend took after she did it.

Pretty colour.
I go every month for my roots. About every 4-6 months I renew the highlights and allow my hairdresser to take off as much as an inch!!!! More and he'd be for the chop!
As I came to England for a holiday last week I had the whole thing done.
When I was young it was completely straight. Now its gone wild and the kids say I look like a witch when I wear it loose so I wear itup and yyou can see my ugly mug. It's very long but I want it longer.

Now that I work from home I get it trimmed probably every 3 months or so.  I get the color done maybe 4 times a year also.  I have some gray but not close to all gray.  I get the highlights and lowlights.  She does a very thin layer with a darker blond, the next with a neutral brown and the next is left with no color.  It doesn't sound like it would be natural looking but it is.  That way the roots and the gray that is in the regrowth blends in.  It can grow out quite a bit before the roots become obvious because the brown that she uses is very close to my natural color minus the gray.
