I think he looks like a domestic long hair.  Nothing wrong with that!  He's very very cute.

Persians have a flat, distinctive face.  Look up some pictures and see what you think.

@talkingpeanut i typed domestic long hair cats on google images and this is what I've found some pics thay looks just like him :) Are these pictures accurate to what you're saying?
@handsomekitty yes maybe i would stick with the canin to, i've read many good reviews about it, its a bit expensive herein asia but i could live with that. Anything for my little angel. Thank you! :) May i ask if you dont mind, is frieskies harmful for cats? Ive read many negative reviews about it. And thats the cheapest cat food here but i dont want to risk my baby, so i sticked with whiskas and princess. (I still wouldn't switch to friskies anyway, im just curious)

Yep!  Those do look like him.  I'm surprised they told you he was a persian.

Did you find fleas or ticks on him?

And to be clear, we were recommending that you feed him KMR in addition to the kitten food.

Is that whats he going to like when he grow up? Yes i am.confused too. But i saw his girl sibling, the white one is the one with flat face and nose features of persian and the other one looks just like him. I dont know what happened lol. I already found a shop that sells kmr here in asia, a few miles away from where i am staying :) Lucky me! I havent seen any fleas or ticks though

Friskies is fine it's not the best food on the market but it's far from the worst. I just advise sticking to the pate.

I recommended the Royal Canin because it is smaller kibble for young kittens.  If you switch to a dry food with larger pieces you should wet it with KMR or water to soften it and make a mush.

@sarthur2   is correct though, wet food is always better than dry.  You can use both.  Again mix the pate style food with KMR or water to make a mush so it is easier for the kitten to eat.

Genetics are strange.  Who knows.  And if you didn't find any bugs you definitely don't need the flea and tick shampoo.

The pictures you posted are kittens as well.  Your cat will look similar to how he does now when he grows up.

I read the thread and couldn't understand (or maybe missed it) if you found any ticks or fleas on his fur. If you did find either of those, then yes, the bath is necessary.

Although, you don't have to bathe him all the time.. I don't know how many times you bathed him since you've had him. Is there any medicine in ampules' form you can give him? It's like really small vials with medicine in them. You just apply it once on his skin (push fur aside as much as possible to reveal skin) and you're done
This will be much easier on you and far less stressful for him. It's not a very good idea to bathe kittens in this time of year.. I mean it has gotten cold, the temperatures are not that high and he is very young and sensitive of maybe catching a cold or something. I'm sure you're taking any possible precautions, but I am just making a suggestion

Regarding dandruff: Dandruff is no more than dead skin flakes.. Maybe there's a dry atmosphere in your home? or in your environment in general? Dandruff can also manifest because of allergies.. A soothing shampoo with natural oils and/or aloe vera will be helpful in moisturizing his skin.

So, his dad is 100% Persian and his mom 50-75%? I guess he took genes from the "other side" of the family
He looks like he's going to be a handsome long hair hunk! He is awesome! Very cute face and beautiful coat!

Oops im sorry! I didnt see the latest reply regarding dandruf :(

@grizzly, omg thank you so much for bein detailed about it. It really helped me a lot on how to figure out what to do to his dandruffs without stressing him and bathing him. When i brush his fur some falls off though. I havent seen any feas and ticks on him. About the medicines, what is the name of it and where can i find it. Thank you really! :)) I appreciate the time and effort reading this thread and answering it. :) Yup he is handsome really and VERY CLINGY. [emoji]128159[/emoji]

You don't need to do anything for the dandruff or give him any medication right now. I think his skin is probably irritated from being overwashed. You can wipe him off with a damp cloth to get dandruff off yeh surface if it's bothering you. Dandruff is not a medical problem if it's minor and causing him no discomfort.

Grizzly was recommending medication instead of washing him if he had fleas or ticks. You don't think he has fleas or ticks, so he doesn't need anything. I hope you have checked by combing him with a fine metal comb though.

KMR from the brands recommended by other users in this thread is your best option. It is the most nutritious option.

@talkingpeanut   I only suggested the soothing shampoo because if the kitten scratches all the time, due to dandruff, it might be a bit dangerous for his skin.

In any case, I think the vet will give Rore the right advice and direction.

Also, @Rore  I live in Greece, so any medication I suggest to you, might not be sold where you live.

The vet will tell you what to do. Just ask them if you can find a medication for fleas and ticks in ampule form (*IF he needs any*)

And yes, what @talkingpeanut  told you, is absolutely right. Comb him with a fine metal comb like this one:
Also, in case he has some fleas, ticks, lice whatever, and he is UNDER 8 weeks and less than 1 kilogram weight, the ampule form medication is NOT suitable.

The rest, you must talk about with your vet

I agree. How bad is the dandruff and how much is he itching? And how much has been bathed?

It would make us feel better to know there were no bugs for sure!

He isn't aggresively scratching now like he used to when we first got him :) as i was looking through his fur every single day, ive found that his dandruffs are lessened, i was relieved. And we also killed his ear mites already, the vet prescirbed us a water based ear mites and tick control. And its been a week since we stopped putting the med since he doesnt need it anymore. And now he's happily playing with our long haired cat :) I can see how relieved he is. It just feels so good to give him a good life. Right now as i am typing this he is having his siesta (afternoon nap) Thank you for helping me and giving me advices on what i should do next to give him the motherly care and love he needs :)

We took him to the vet last two weeks ago and got dewormed. Thats when the vet told us he have ear mites. And last week we went to the vet again to check up on his ear mites and the vet told us that we did get rid of it. He prescirbed us this

once or twice 2-3 drops for 3-5 days. And now he's doing real good, he feels good. I feel it :)

I have bathed him twice since we got him.

That's pretty cool @Rore
 Well done!

Did the vet suggest anything about the dandruff?

Since you've already bathed him twice, I think it's fine. Just continue to comb his fur regularly, to help him keep it clean, untangled and keep away all those dead hairs. Especially now that he is wearing his winter coat
 it'll help him a lot.

My concern is that those don't look like they're for kittens.  The pieces might be too big and the nutritional needs are different.
