Red cat poop?

Yo.

So my cat got a noticeably reddish poop yesterday night.

I don't know if it's alright to post picture about cat poop here. But i am concerned and don't know if i should take him to the vet immediately. Or should i wait for it???

As @Anne    mentioned  coloring in food can change the color of the cats poo .. Do you feed your cat dry food with added color ? If it is a solid poo with an  all red  hue it could be  dye in the food causing it but if it is regular colored poo with spots of red that could be blood .  If it happens again I would suggest a Vet visit ..

I agree. This is poor quality food all in all, as the first ingredient is rice and the second is corn. In fact, out of the first six ingredients only two are of animal source, so not ideal for cats at all. I am not sure this meets the regular standards for cat food in the US or Europe. I would avoid it and stick with a better-quality food.

It also had food colorings and like @2Cats4Me  said, the food looks way too "colorful" in the picture. It's entirely possible this caused the change in poop color. I hope this is all it was.
