Why does he do this???

I got this new garbage bin for my bedroom since the old one I had Emmett was always trying to get in and knocking it over and everything cats do to garbage bins.

This one is covered. So he'll scratch on it for like 30 mins if I don't stop him.

This pictures show him doing it. It was funny at the time I took them becasue the show I was watching at this fast music playing and it was like he was scratching to the music.

He likes the feel on his paw pads, my cats do this on the tub and our jeans while were still in them......lol

Whenever cats do those cute/strange things and I can't find a reason why, I just answer to myself and say, "because that's what kitties do." (Or at least that's how I used to explain it to my nephews when they were younger. They seemed to understand. )
