Hi,
I'm new to site in June 2015 and have looked and searched several times on the site and find it very helpful, educational and fun! You can tell that there are REAL cat lovers out there. I'm in health care field and 6 mo ago lost my sweet boy Lovey to cancer. I rescued him from the local shelter. He was a one yr old green eyed DLH deaf white long haired male. I loved that cat more than myself and it just broke my heart when I lost him. He was approx 9 yrs old and look at the beautiful urn!

.
.

I have a 11yr old DSH black cat that was diagnosed with DIABETES at 8 1/2 yrs old and have been giving him insulin twice daily for 3 yrs now. His name is Midnight and he was a gift from a pet store.

So, after losing Lovey was convinced to find his soul in another cat. Looked and looked and looked and looked and looked and here is the result. Did I mention OCD?

YODA: Approx 5 yr old male gold-eyed DLH white baby-faced Persian rescued from TEXAS
.

Mr. LOVEY: 3 yr old male blue-eyed DLH white partial Maine Coon mix whose owner died and his exact 3rd birthday. Rescued from shelter in MICHIGAN
.

LYNXY: 16yr old female blue-eyed DLH white, part lynx whose owner had to move into extended care and her beloved cat couldn't come along. In-house only cat with no other pets. I drove to meet the owners best friend who was grateful that I rescued the cat FROM MINNESOTA.

.

LIGHTENING: 4 mo old female deaf blue-eyed DMH white mixed Siamese who was rescued from a shelter/foster home in GEORGIA.
.

ANGEL-LOVEY: 10 week old pure bred Maine Coon deaf white long-haired deaf male. purchase from NEBRASKA.
.

So, lose one white cat and replace with 5 white cats. OCD!! Little bit of a challenge but luv them all. 2 little ones are deaf and still teaching them a little sign language. All get along fairly well except Lynxy who spent 2 mo under my bed and I feed her there. She is now venturing out some and responds well to me. Had to get some mats removed from her back and she is much happier. Hope she continues to progress and get along with the others. All my cats are indoor only.
I rescued all these cats in the 4-5 months following my loss. Thanks for listening to my story..

Welcome! You have beautiful cats! I'm sorry for the loss of your first one. Your cats are fortunate to have you in their lives because it's obvious how much you love them. Best wishes to you!

Hmmm.... does Midnight ever feel like he needs to roll around in flour?   Or perhaps push all those gorgeous white siblings of his in some tar?

Sorry for the loss of your Lovey.   He would probably be happy to know you've honoured his memory by rescuing all these other beautiful cats.

And with your "OCD Disorder" this is probably the best website for you.  Or maybe the worst.
