We adopted her a couple months ago and were told that she was fixed, she had gotten out of the house a few times but only for short periods of times. I knew a couple weeks ago because she suddenly got really big started eating alot more and is always following me. The past week i have felt movement in her belly and the past 2 days i can actually see movement. Shes starting to lose some hair around her nipples and can never get comfortable. Im wondering how long it will be until the kittens will be here. Any help is greatly appreciated

.

You can expect kittens 2-3 weeks from when you first saw movement.  Here are a few articles that will help you out.  Keep using this thread for any questions.

It could still be a few days even if that is the mucus plug or could be today.  all cats are different and there is really no way to pin point exactly when she will give birth.

Define strange.  Is she in pain or distress?  If she is needy and clingy and rolling over for belly rubs, that is normal.

She's becoming protective of her unborn kittens.  She will need a room of her own away from the other cat soon.

I suggest that you put her in a bedroom away from the other cat. She is drawing near term and becoming agitated as her hormones gear up for labor and delivery. Attacking the other cat is her way of defending her territory and unborn babies from "predators", which she considers the other cat to be right now.

Put her food, water, and her own litter pan in the room with her, along with the nest you've set up. Cats prefer their nest in a dark, private space such as a closet.

Once she feels secure perhaps she will calm down a bit, but if she's entering labor she may be very restless as she experiences painful contractions.

She's probably 24-48 hours away, though that could change. It could go faster or slower, but things are definitely moving along.

Just keep the bedroom door closed so she feels safe. She may want you with her as much as possible for comfort.

Sounds like she's laboring with early contractions. Time will tell. Since you are back at work tomorrow, if she has not had them by the time you leave for work, I suggest you close her in your bedroom so you will be able to locate the kittens if she has them while you are not home.
