my kitten has diarrhea please help

My little 8 week old kitten had been through 3 major hernia surgeries 2 weeks ago he came back home day before yesterday i was giving him royal canin adult jelly food as prescribed by vet office now yesterday after one normal poop he started having soft stools now an hour before he had watery stool i hv reduced the amount of feed and i m giving him chicken soup as well
I hv called the vet office they said to add boil chicken and reduce amount of feed
I m little concerned as i hv searched on internet and found that only liquid diet should be given in first 24 hours to rest the stomach
Kindly guide me what to do
I need urgent help vet clinic is around 2 hours and my kitten is already very weak after surgeries but he is active and playful eat and drinks fine
Should i start giving pedi lite should i continue with jelly food i m very nervous

Please tell me can i give him rice cereal in liquid form

Diarrhea is not uncommon after surgery, and since he's such a little kitten it makes sense that the surgery would have tasked his body. What was he eating before the surgeries? Frequent food changes and sudden food changes can also upset a kitten's stomach. 

He came home after 13 days of surgery they were feeding royal canin adult jelly food they told that they are feeding 1.5 pack per day i asked twice as its very large amount as he came home i gave him 1 pack in around 30 hours first he started with soft stools and now he has watery stool i m giving him rice baby cereal and chicken borth with pedialyte
I called vet office and they said i have overfed him the vet tech told us to start entamizole syrup i have give 2 drops of syrup but after 2.5 hours he has watery yellow stool
Is it normal should i continue with medicine
