Hello! This little girl is named Tempura and came to my home about a month ago. I'm a new cat owner (only owned dogs in my childhood) so a lot of learning with this one.
I adopted Tempura from a foster. She apparently was part of a seizure of a bunch of animals from a breeder who had been hospitalized. She, however, was born after all of this happened and was the only surviving kitten in her litter. She was front declawed, which I am told was because her claws were curling and growing inwards. Otherwise, she's a happy and healthy kitty. Considering her history though I think I'm always going to be more on edge about her health. Tempura is a mix between a Persian and a Munchkin, and is a very petite girl at 6 lbs. She's also a little less fluffy right now because the owners who had her before tried to give her a lion's cut (in an attempt to alleviate allergies, which obviously didn't work. This resulted in her getting re-homed.)
Anyhoo, thanks for this amazing resource and community. Just saying hi. I do research as a job and have a tendency to over analyze, lol, so this is a good place for me to figure out information on what's best for this little girl.
