HI Everyone --

Am new to the site and need some help finding a good dry food for one of my fur babies who has what feels like a ton of food allergies and limited options for dry food. I have two fur babies -- Gabby (my girl, about 18 mos old) and Sammie (my boy, about 18 mos old). Sammie is healthy as can be, just annoyed that Gabby gets most of the attention due to her special needs. Lol. Gabby has had intermittent diarrhea since bringing her home from the shelter and after 9 months of treating her for everything under the sun and switching foods to figure out what the issues were, we finally got an allergy test to determine exactly what she was allergic to. Well... she is allergic to almost everything in every dry food out there, and am feeling out of options.

She is allergic to Turkey, Duck, Beef, Rabbit, Pork, Potato, Eggs, Milk, and Soy. She also has environmental allergies (trees, weeds, grass, mold, house flies, ants, dogs, wool, etc.). I'm treating her with antihistamines now for the environmental and obviously have taken precautions to the things I can control (I don't have dogs!, special allergen trapping filters for ac and heat, shutting all windows when it rains, etc.), and had switched both dry and wet foods completely to two brands without any of the foods listed that she is allergic to (Rachel Ray, Nutrish for dry -- Soulistic for Wet). Basically, we have finally had a really good few months! :)

And then... she started back to having the intermittent diarrhea and now we have another primary vet appointment today and I made another appointment with her allergy specialist because I have tried everything and have no idea where this is coming from... but this is not the point of the thread! :)

The point is... I have recently switched her food from Rachel Ray Nutrish to Natural Balance, Limited Ingredient, Chicken and Pea -- thinking that the ingredients may have changed in the RR food slightly (I noticed the new "Poultry Fat" ingredient, and thought maybe this could be Turkey / Duck combo that she has an intolerance to) but just enough to cause a reaction. The new NB LID food does not appear to have any soy or any ingredient that she is allergic to, BUT this is the ONLY other food I could find out there that didn't have the ingredients that she is allergic to AND has not cleared up her intermittent diarrhea (with lots of gas). I'll try to figure this out with the vet and specialist...but...

In the meantime... the question of the day is... does anyone have any ideas for DRY food that has no other ingredients that she is allergic to? I am trying not to go down the route of making my own food (although I have tried this and they both looked at me like I was crazy!). The ingredients in NB LID dry food and Soulistic wet food are below, just in case I am completely missing something as well!

NB LID DRY FOOD: Peas, Chicken Meal, Chicken, Chicken Fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols), Pea Protein, Flaxseed, Natural Flavor, Calcium Carbonate, DL-Methionine, Potassium Chloride, Choline Chloride, Taurine, Natural Mixed Tocopherols, Zinc Proteinate, Vitamin E Supplement, Niacin, Manganese Proteinate, Copper Proteinate, Zinc Sulfate, Manganese Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Thiamine Mononitrate (Vitamin B-1), Vitamin A Supplement, Biotin, Potassium Iodide, Calcium Pantothenate, Riboflavin (Vitamin B-2), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B-6), Vitamin B-12 Supplement, Manganous Oxide, Sodium Selenite, Vitamin D-3 Supplement, Folic Acid.

SOULISTIC WET FOOD: Tuna Broth, Chicken, Tuna, Tapioca Starch, Sunflower Oil, Guar Gum, Calcium Sulfate, Tricalcium Phosphate, Potassium Chloride, Celery Powder, Salt, Vitamin E Supplement, Ferrous Sulfate, Niacin Supplement, Zinc Oxide, Thiamine Mononitrate (Vitamin B1), Taurine, Vitamin A Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Manganese Sulfate, Calcium Pantothenate, Riboflavin Supplement (Vitamin B2), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Biotin, Copper Glycine Complex, Sodium Selenite, Folic Acid, Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex (Source of Vitamin K3), Potassium Iodide

Any help on other brands to look into are appreciated!!!!! Thank you!

What about Ziwipeak air dried? They have lamb, venison and fish, and venison. It's all 1 protein and really good quality. It's expensive though, but for 1 cat or even 2 it wouldnt be that pricy because they'll eat less of it. I feed lamb, venison and fish, and beef and 6 of my cats love it. The wet Ziwipeak is really good too, I also feed those. My cats do excellent on them.
