I think it could be very early stages... Last night Saffy jumped up on the bed and wanted to lay with me, she has never done this before. Although she is extremely sweet and friendly, she didn't grow up here and is still a little wary of my dogs. The look on her face is different too, and her eyes are much more dilated than usual for this time of the morning? Getting close!

Yeah I know! :D She refused her food just now so i know something is up haha. I can't get over how massive she is. Everyone in my family thinks she's having at least 8.

Well she was acting odd again and her poos have gone really sloppy, very uncomfortable but nothing really has progressed from that yet? I did notice a dried brown scab looking thing on her vagina today mucus plug? Plus my other 2 cats are really interested in her scent and sniffing her back end constantly. I'm so anxious, this is taking forever haha.

I bet! I'll post some recent pics of her in the morning, she has a lot of discharge from her vagina and because she is so big she can't clean back there and it's looking pretty nasty. I guess having a mostly white butt doesn't help LOL. I've cleaned her gently a couple of times but she really doesn't like me going there (understandable) doesn't try bite or scratch just jumps as if surprised and tries to move away. She does hiss at the boys if they go too close though.

She needs a quiet place where the boys can not go.  She isn't going to want the other cats near her kittens for at least the first 4 weeks.  A closet, a spare room, it needs to be low light or dark for the kittens when their eyes begin to open.

I've got her set up in a spare room now with the "den" in a closet. She has a sack protruding this morning but I can't see any contractions? I'm starting to panic. Shouldn't there be strong contractions if a sac is hanging out? She is not in any distress and is just laying down purring cleaning herself? Vets don't open for another 2 hours here but will be ringing them as soon as they do.

I would be concerned at this point too, at least about the kittens. I think you're right to call the vet.

OMG Nothing was happening and to top things off I've been locked on the property as my partner forgot I don't have a key for the front gate to go anywhere! But finally we have the first kitten born!! He's perfect! A little cream boy! He's eating well and Saffy is now panting hard like a dog.

Well she had 8 in total, 3 ginger boys, 2 cream boys, 1 blue tabby boy, 1 blue torbie girl and 1 tabby girl.

She did very well and all but one seemed to suckle strongly, after coaxing one of the ginger boys (weak one) to suckle he finally did.

This morning when I got up unfortunately one of the ginger boys (and to my surprise not the weak one) was cold and just about dead, I tried to revive him for over half an hour but it wasn't meant to be.

It was horrible to see him take deep breaths only about 3 per minute. He was in the pile of kittens and not separate so I really have no idea why he died. Very upsetting but I tried my best to save him.

Will post pictures of the family soon :)
