I came home from work and saw that he must have jumped up on the cabinet and knocked over my bottle of Vitamin A. The bottle was open on the floor, I am not for sure if he ate any though. If he did eat it, will it hurt him? He seems pretty fine to me right now...well extra sweet...but nothing bad.

Vitamin A is a fat soluble vitamin and in LARGE doses can be toxic to cats, because the excess is stored within the body until it is released. If there is a substantial amount missing- I would be concerned, but chances are, he just probably batted a few of them on the floor and they are sitting dusty in the corner. I would count how many are there and if to many are missing, then I would hunt for them.

He should be OK. Vit A can be toxic, but only in very large doses. Even then it usually only becomes a permanent problem if the high levels are maintained over a long period of time.

Oddly, as a turtle rehab person I actually have to force feed Vit A to turtles in my care on a monthly basis.
