Up until about 2 weeks ago she was fine she is 11 at the moment. She just lies down the whole time but when she did still walk her back legs seem to slide out from underneath her. She doesn't even walk to the litterbox or where she usually eats you have to carry her there. She hardly eats as well, then also up until a day ago she would still look at you when you walked into the room and she would purr when you stroked her but now she doesn't. Obviously first thing that comes to mind is she is kind of old so it might be her time to go but is it ? Or is there just something else wrong ? Is there something we can do for her? Is she in pain?

Get her to a vet ASAP. It's the only way you'll be able to find out what's going on with her. If she's not eating she'll be both dehydrated and at risk of developing hepatic lipidosis (fatty liver disease), which can be fatal by itself.

I can't say for sure that she's in pain, but it seems pretty likely given everything you're saying.

Please get her to a vet - today if possible.

11 years isn't old enough to settle with that it's just her time. It could be something relatively easily fixable, like an infection. Only the vet can tell you. Have the vet check kidneys, liver and the whole shabang as well.

Hope your they find out what's wrong, and that they can help her feel better :)

Thanks to everyone who replied we did take her to the vet but unfortunately he said there is nothing he can do for her. It was an amazing 11 years and I will really miss her :(

I'm so sorry to hear this.  What did the vet say is wrong with her?  It's so horrible when our babies get sick.

I was at school when my mother took her so I didn't really hear what he said but from what I heard I think it was some sort of heart disease
