This thread is to discuss something I find myself doing for my cats and kittens depending on the season and time of the month.

You don't need to get specific with brands or amounts but you can if you would like to.

For me I feed all of my adult cats 3/4 of a can per day with a mix of other things to supplement natural nutrition.

I give 3/4 of a can of Evo,Wellness, or instinct to all of my adult cats between 8-12 pounds

The type of canned will depend on the time of the year, non of my cats are outdoor cats, so they get less exercise because of less activity in the summer because I don't keep my AC on all the time in the summer. So for the summer I feed them very lean meat when it comes to canned cat food. During this time I feed them wellness because of its lower amount of calories. They only get fish and fatty meat cat food 2-3 times a week, so during the week they get mostly chicken, rabbit, and turkey flavored canned food.

During the winter  when they are much more active II switch them over to Evo, and Instinct for the wet because of the higher protein and calories. Non of my cats have food allergies so I feed them mostly fish and fatty meats during this time.

For the other things I mix in

I mix in about 1/8 to 1/4 of dry with their wet year around. During the summer they all get wellness dry chicken formula, but every 2 weeks I will switch it for a 1/4 cup split between meals of hairball control formula.

In the winter again pretty much the same thing as the wet, higher fat meats, and they start eating EVO, and Instinct again.

I like to give my cats two full weeks to slowly transition into the new food.

I give each cat 2 to three of these mixed in with their food   I like to mix it up so I always have all three on hand.

Please share what and how you feed your cats.

You can share why you feed them the brand you do, type of food, and why.

Wow, you put a lot of thought into that rotation!

Mine isn't nearly so complicated.  The three indoor/outdoor cats get all wet, Merricks pate and Petco's Soulistic mixed together, morning and evening, with fish oil added in in the morning.  Then they get treats (Greenies) sometimes, too.

The fourth cat is indoor only.  She lives separately from the others and gets fed separately.  I mix it all up with her--she's 12 years old and thin and I want to her eat all she wants.  I have several different brands of wet food, and she gets 3 oz. in the morning and another 3 in the evening, and she also has dry available all day to snack on.
