Hi!
I have just discovered this wonderful site!. My name is Ruth and I am the proud new owner of Fergus, a sixteen week old Chocolate tabby point siamese. We recently lost our eighteen year old Daisy puss to heart and kidney failure and the house was just sooooo empty without her. Anyway our two ancient dogs need a feline to keep them in order!.

I hope that I will make lots of new cat friends via this site, it is really interesting reading the messages.

Could anyone recommend a really good Kitten food available in England that does not contain any nasty chemicals or additives?. Fergus is being fed as the breeder recommended at the moment on 'Whiskers Kitten Food', 'Hills Science Diet' and fresh chicken/ lamb/ beef. I would rather find a more natural complete cat food.

Looking forward to meeting you all,
Ruth xxx

Hi Ruth, im Susan, also from the UK, and good to have you and Fergus on the site.

It is a great site, everyone is so friendly and are about the only people who understand the love of fur babies!.

Susan (and Rosie).
P.S. I fed Rosie Iams(Dry) for kittens

Welcome to the site Ruth!! Fergus sounds like a real cutie, we would love to see pictures of the little love.

I'm not sure if it's available in the UK, but Royal Canin is supposed to be very good food. Just click on the banner at the top of the forums to go to their website and see if it is available in your area.

Thank you all for making me feel so welcome. I can tell that I am going to love getting to know you all and finding out all about your wonderful cats.
Fergus is having a mad half hour at the moment, so I better go and supervise and find out what he's up to!

Love Ruth xxx

Hi Ruth

Welcome the TCS!!!

I would recommend Royal Canin - I've been feeding it to my Persians (they do a special formula for Persians, and were one of the first to do so), they also do one for kittens AND for siamese!!!

Maybe you can try Fergus on a mix of the kitten and the siamese and see how he goes?

Hope you stick around so's we can get to know you and Fergus a little better!!!

Hi and welcome to TCS

Most of my cats are on Royal Canin one way or another. They have so many different types that you can buy over the counter. for anything special like obesity (oh boy dont get me started on that one!) you have to get it from the vet.
any chance for pictures of Fergus

Hi Ruth! Welcome to you and Fergus!! I am so sorry to hear about your kitten Daisy! Daisy is waiting over the Rainbow Bridge for you, Fergus & your pups; but making plenty of friends till that time. Maybe Daisy will meet up with a few of my cats that I have had thru the yrs: Mr Sunshine, Tiki, Chrystal, Greta.

I looked on the internet, and found some sites for Healthy cat food in England. They are: veggiepets.com and healthypetnet.com and pet-supplies-and-care.com There are others, but I was not too sure if they had kitten formula. But perhaps you can check these sites out, as well as Royal Canin, and any others you may find on the internet.
