I have a Ragdoll whose loose stool we are still working through. For me, I dampen a paper towel and use kitten shampoo to wash the hair with poop stuck to it - just make sure you throughly wash it out again
I was thinking about the same thing. But the breeder insists to keep feeding her the dry food. So i am not quite sure what to feed her.You can ask the vet or a groomer to do a "sani-shave". That helps a lot of long haired kitties.
What did you find out at the vet? Have you tried an almost all canned food diet with her? I'm wondering if the food is a little too rich for her system.
Yea, my vet suggests me to give her hills i/d food. Do you know about those. It says they are prescription diet, can cats keep eating them just like regular food?Canned food is so much better for kitties, especially kittens. Cats are carnivores and many cannot tolerate the grains and fillers in dry food. Also, canned food has a high water content, which helps keep kitties hydrated and helps lessen skin issues. I feed mostly canned, but do give my kitties a little bit of dry food as a "snack".
I used hills I/D for a few days when my kitten had runny stool as well, a few days after I brought him home. I just got maybe 3 cans, it seemed to help right away. I slowly switched him over to all canned in different brands, and then after he had normal stool for a few days I added his dry very slowly back into his diet. No issues since. I wouldn't use I/D as a diet all the time, would also be expensive to do that, but it is fine temporarily in my opinion if they are having digestive issues.Yea, my vet suggests me to give her hills i/d food.
