My poor baby is 17 weeks old and has had a very runny diarrhea type poop. Ive never had cats and am not really sure if she's okay or needs to go to the vet.

Yes to the vet with a stool sample.  Your kittens can die from severe diarrhea that isn't treated and its not going to get better on its own.  Kitten may have worms but more likely an internal parasite like coccidia or giradia and this needs prompt treatment.

Hi was the dewormer from your vet or a petstore? Yes it can cause diarrhea or gut upset. But you want to be using something from your vet.I personally would never use anything over the counter.milbamax is one we use here in Canada. Not for ringworm though. But yes it can cause gut upset. As long as the dosing was correct for the kitty as per weight. And it does not continue. If you are feeding canned food add a small amount of room temp water to make it like a  slurry.Thinned oatmeal.Dehydration sets in fast & will help somewhat.Diarrhea for like 3 days to me is a vet visit with possibly a sample of the liquid diarrhea taken with you (fresh hopefully).Hugs to babe.C
