My 7 month old long haired kitty has never eaten any kind of cat food. I'm afraid he's not getting all the essential nutrients but Ive tried everything and every kind of cat food brand. He only eat chicken breast, beef, and tuna. He refuses everything else. He also isn't very active lately. He was never much of a jumper, can't even make it to the window, but recently he can't jump on or off the bed even. This started one day when he seemed to be sick from a hair ball and at the same time started limping. He stopped limping in two days and behaved just fine, so Im thinking maybe he injured his paw whenI wasn't home and now he's scared to jump. He just meows until I pick him up no. We are going to the vet friday, but if anyone had similar issues Id love some solutions.

He is missing essential nutrients if he's only getting protein.  You may be able to make cat food for him thats based on chicken or tuna, i would look in the nutrition forum.  Also his lack of energy is a concern.

Have you tried wet food? Some cats won't touch dry. Mine won't. If he prefers meat, try wet food. Not pate style (I'm guessing he won't like it) but something with shredded chicken in it like Cats in the Kitchen "Fowl Bowl" or Weruva "Paw Lickin Chicken." It basically just looks like shredded chicken. (See picture)

Cat's die from not getting essential nutrients. Thiamine for example, is very important to cats. There were a bunch of food recalls several years ago when there was a lack of Thiamine in some cat foods. Cats got very sick, and some died. Your cat isn't getting any of this through plain meat.

Please pick up a few different kinds of canned cat food for your cat to try. Your cat will end up at the vet if he continues to only eat plain meat.

Honestly it sounds like something is wrong if he's refusing all food and is lethargic. Some cats are more picky than others (I have one very picky dude) but being lethargic too isn't good. If he's not eating ANY cat food I would not wait until Friday to take him to the vet. As other said he's not getting proper nutrients just eating chicken and tuna etc.

Edit - Oops I see this thread is a week old. Well I hope he's doing better.
