I have a three week old kitten. Her mommy died because my dog is a cat killer and I found her babies in the attic. Her whole litter was dead, but she was screaming. That's how I found her. Ive been wiping her butt with a wet cloth, bottle feeding her, keeping her warm and cuddling her when she's cold. I just can't get rid of the crusty eye gunk. She even has green goop coming out of her cornea. Her eyes are crusted shut, but somehow gunk is seeping out of her cornea's. I'm worried because it's green and green means infection and I don't know what to do for her.

She needs to be seen by a vet and prescribed some medications. These things can turn real bad quickly.

I don't have the money for her to go to the vet. I'm not even allowed to have her.

You are going to have to enlist the help of someone who can help this kitten. How have you been feeding her?

Use cotton balls and warm water to gently wipe the kittens eyes, often, clean one each time.
How old are you? Can you look up any rescue organizations in your area? This kitten needs to get medicine for its eyes!

I saw that you've been bottle feeding. What are you feeding?

I have a bottle and milk that i got from Walmart in the pet isle. I am 18 and in college I cant afford to take her to the vet, but I may be able to convince my parents to give me the money to take her.

I HIGHLY suggest getting this kitten to a shelter or rescue immediately.

I am appalled that your dog has killed the mom cat and her babies, or they simply starved to death.

If you are not allowed to have her and your dog is a cat killer, this kitten is not safe, PLEASE get her someplace where she can get help.

Her eyesight is in danger and becomes very very ugly and life threatening very fast, already well on it's way it sounds like right now.

I will call a local rescue place. My dog killed her out in the orchard and her kittens were in the attic and three starved to death, but this one has a fat tummy. Her eyes are crusty and I cleaned her eyes with a cotton ball and warm water. One eye is open now but it's blood shot and it doesn't look good and is very milky looking.

If you are not planning to take my advice and impossible to get her help, you can make a saline solution that might help temporarily to possibly save her eyes until she does get help, by boiling 1 cup of water and adding 1/4 teaspoon of salt.

Allow it to cool to room temperature and using a soft washcloth, dip it in the solution 3-4 times a day, holding it on the crusted eye for a minute, then waiting a few minutes and repeat, but gently wiping away the crud.

Squeeze a small amt right on the open eye.

She is walking around like she's okay, but her eyes are what's worrying me.

Oh yes, please get help for her right away!! That is very bad and she is suffering permanent damage as we speak.

Honey she is not okay, she is going to be blinded by this very soon and likely has some eyesight loss already if it looks milky.

If she gets help right now today there is a chance some of her vision can be saved.

If you have a vet that knows you theres a chance you might be able to call them and ask for terramycin antibacterial eye ointment without taking her in.

3 more days is not good.

Also the saline solution must be made fresh everyday because it grows bacteria, which is the last thing she needs now is more bacteria to try to fight off.

It is absolutely CRITICAL that her eyes remain uncrusted and open so the infectious drainage is able to come out of her eyes.

When they are stuck shut it gets all backed up around and behind her eyes which is what causes the big trouble and vision loss/blindness.
