It's a good idea for all cats to have some form of identification. A lot of cats that get lost are indoor cats who slipped out the door.
What about a cat who can't stand a collar? The last time I tried to put a collar on Bud was when he was a kitten, maybe three months old at the time, and he really, really, really hated it. He spent the next hour crying and trying to get it off, and at one point he let loose a shriek of frustration unlike anything I've ever heard from him. I felt bad and took it off him, and subsequent attempts didn't work either so I gave up.

But I am worried about him getting lost, because he's a bold and curious cat who loves to explore.

Wow, how cool is that!? Great job!
I agree, that's fantastic @Bengalcatman  .  You have some lucky kitties there.   I hope you also have well coordinated ones with good balance,
I could never let Mouse loose on something like that as he falls of stuff way too often!

One question - who gets to clean the paw marks off the windows?

I didn't buy it, I built it...

Our Bengals can walk out to this from a loft area, they LOVE being up so high. This perch gets morning sun and they take turns sunning on nice mornings. There are some bird feeders nearby that provide entertainment too.
Now... if you put some sisal on that big support beam too... :D
Think of the even-more-fun to be had!
Wow!

That's a great perch, love it

Makena really is one lucky cat there - what with the indoor options, and that outdoor area with those trees for climbing.
I love that you have plans to add in a high sizal climbing post for him.   He looks super fit in those photos up climbing trees.  I am well impressed that you manage to prevent him from getting all tangled up with the extending lead when he's up and about like that:  I used to take my little tabby girls out sometimes and the one who liked to climb trees was forever getting tied up around trunks and branches.
She was never allowed to go too high as I had to be able to untie what ever cats' craddles she created.

In paradise, under a cat pile
We don't have that much money here.... I put shelves up along the wall so they don't have to walk on the floor. My female thinks I bought her a puppy to raise! She is doing a good job too. This is an old speaker with outside furniture pads and blankets. Heating pad...all for bird watching

What a lovely viewing post, all colour coordinated, comfy and pretty inside where it's warm, and lots of trees n stuff outside so there are critters to see.

Have you just adopted a puppy in to your home too @MeuzettesMom?

Just thinking @Bengalcatman
With that lovely high window, and possibly some space in your home, how about putting a lovely big live tree indoors for Makena.
I remember being in a bar many years ago that was in a really old building -  there was an old tree growing through part of it, from the floor right up through the roof!  Weird, but hey, what fun for a cat to climb on.

Makena gets daily walks/hikes, so he gets to climb all the time. Its just in really cold temps that he doesn't want to go out, and our house is really small, only 1050 sq ft. But I would love to have the room for a tree or a spot for an enclosure with trees like Norachan's (above post #34,) that is REALLY cool, Makena would LOVE it!

No one on this site spoils their cats... nope, not at all

More pics of the enclosure? Or links to them? We are planning a very small one at some point in the future - would love to see what you did and some details too......

It's really refreshing to be on a site where people do spoil their cats. [emoji]128512[/emoji][emoji]128008[/emoji]

Here is a link to Norachan's thread when she was building it.  I think she enclosed her whole yard.
