Belle has now been with me just shy of 3 weeks.  In that time I am amazed by how much poop she is producing, on some days I am finding as many as 6 in a previously clean litter tray.

She also farts something rotten - in general and also when I pick her up.  They are SUPER stinky, as is her poop.

I asked the vet when she received her 2nd jabs this week, and was given a worming tablet.  Vet also had a feel of her tummy, because obviously pooping 6 times a day is not normal for any kitty.  Even if they eat lots.

I figure she is probably still getting used to regular meals, having been found by the Cats Protection as a stray with her kittens,  but she will have been on regular feeding for at least 7 weeks now - from living with her fosterer and then me, so I'm guessing regular meals aren't the cause of it.

Vet said her intestines did feel enlarged/swollen, which sounds like it could be a parasite, so a dose of drontal should help with that, yes?

Anyone had this issue with their kitty? The vet said to feed her as normal, she seems healthy and happy otherwise - just stinky (thus we have started calling her Stinker Belle)

You can try giving her probiotics.  Her intestines are probably out of whack, especially if she has parasites.  And it's possible she has something other than worms.  Is she having diarrhea, or just lots of well formed stools?  If well formed stools, then I would give the Drontal time to work, add in some probiotics (human kind are fine - one capsule per day, divided between two meals)  and see what happens

It COULD be the food you are feeding too, that's causing the gas  AND excessive bowel movements.  Possibly too much fiber, or other type of sensitivity.  You know, just like with us humans, certain foods cause certain side effects

Her stool are pretty well formed, nothing overly loose!  I will look into probiotics.

Never had a cat so gassy, but she's happy otherwise.  My OH just keeps complaining about her farts!
