4health canned wet food recall?

Just started on the new batch of 4health grain free Turkey & Giblets dinner.  It was a funny color and actually smelled like feces; even if my cats were healthy I wouldn't have tried feeding them that, but they have IBS so no way.  Opened up two more cans so far and same story.  I'm returning the entire batch though, I feel horribly sick just from the smell.

Anyone have the same problem?  Any news on a recall or change in recipe?  Thanks!

Bumping this in the hope you will get some responses. That food brand isn't available here, so I'm afraid I can't help you.

I'm not familiar with this company nor have I read any info regarding a recall, however, I would encourage you to do the following: write down the batch numbers and best buy date. Do not return all the food (yet) as this is your evidence.

Report this to the FDA as well as 4Health and tell the latter that you have reported this matter to the FDA.

Truthaboutpetfood.com has guidelines on how to handle these issues, a recall may be in order based on your experience with this.

You will be helping others who use this food by reporting it.

The same thing happened to me today. I have been buying this food for a while now. Today I bought five cans and when I opened the first one it had this weird gray color all over the top of it. So I opened all the others and they were the same way. I am taking them back.

Same thing here. I noticed it's the cans with August dates. Unfortunately I was new to the food and thought the coloration was normal. Hopefully they don't get sick from this. :(

I wanted to post an update:: I contacted tractor supply and they contacted the company that makes the food. I assume they were already aware because she responded very quickly letting me know that the food had been tested and while it did look different they found nothing wrong with it. They replaced the food and I didn't feed any more of it. My cats have had no issues since.

I fed my cats some cans with the different coloration and different smell. My cats didn't have any problem with it, so I'm guessing that it was just a slight normal non-dangerous variation of their batch.
