Bye, Boo

i'm totally heartbroken.. my new kitty, a baby i pulled from the shelter with his three siblings a week or two ago, passed away today during a nap. his brother died the other day and one of his sisters died this morning. we gave him just about everything to try and prevent anything happening after his brother died, including his first round of shots, coccidia meds, and dewormer.. and the poor little guy just couldn't do it. he curled up with me today for a nap and i woke up to find him gone.

i didn't have him for long but i got really close to him. he loved sleeping on my lap while i was on the computer. he'd get off the bed at night and come around it to mew at me to lift him back up on it. he loved to run through the house and eat tuna and snuggle my other cats on my bed. he was just the kind of kitty you could connect with.. i definitely got attached. i'm going to miss him so much.

the other fosters said it was probably something wrong with the litter. well, atleast i got to enjoy this little guy and his family while i could, and atleast he got to die somewhere he was loved.

I'm so sorry to read this.  What a sweet boy.  He was lucky to have been loved so well during his far too brief life.  RIP little Boo.

So sorry for your loss....please take care. He was so cute and sweet baby. Rest in peace sweet little one...

I'm so sorry you lost Boo. It's so unfair when these little ones don't make it past their first month or two. They're discovering the world around them, eating, playing, cuddling, then suddenly gone.

RIP, Boo. You've left little pawprints behind in people's hearts.

I went through the same thing this summer, 4 lost one by one, vet visits and shots, antibiotics, the works, and find it is distemper. The feelings you go through are horrendous, helplessness, anger, sorrow, and a LOT of why's! I just want you to know you are not alone in your grief, those precious little ones knew love and care, which is all they ever wanted, not to die alone in a shelter. You did all you could, but there are things in this world that we just don't understand, and this is one of them. It's so hard to go through this, but remember, you made a TREMENDOUS difference in those little kittens lives. I wish the outcome could have been different, but don't let it stop you from making a difference in another one's life too.  My heart goes out to you, please accept my sincere condolences on your loss.  RIP sweet babies, you will never be forgotten and will forever be held in a loving heart.!

What beautiful kitties.  I am so sorry for your loss.  Bless you for taking care of these sweet babies. 

thank you all   the last little girl died a night or two ago. she crawled towards me and snuggled up close and i stayed with her and petted her until she went. this has been extremely hard.

Oh what precious kitties! I am so very sorry for your loss. They were such sweet little angles. So sad!
Their lives may have been short but they were safe with you and they were able to experience love. They knew love warmth comfort and happiness with you They mattered to you and thanks to you they mattered to all of us here on this site. They were all special and will never be forgotten!

I am so sorry, it breaks your heart when the little ones aren't given a chance. 

It really doesn't take much time for them to move into our hearts. I'm so very sorry about little Boo. [emoji]127752[/emoji]

Sometimes in the middle of the night I allow myself to think back on those precious babies we lost, and Chrissy, and the endless list of others we so very much cared for, and the ache in my heart only matches the agony of asking myself WHY? It's something neither one of us will never have answered, when I think of those sweet little kitten faces, so innocent and so loved, the tears stream down my face. The only thing that brings peace is to know they will never suffer again, I pray they are at peace and  and take comfort knowing they knew love and that someone cared for them.

Your sweet, precious Boo is held securely in your heart, he meant the world to you in that short time he spent on this earth, and he knew it. Your love comforted him at the end, and when he left to join his brother and sisters, he left taking a piece of your heart with him. My heart goes out to you, know you are not alone in your grieving, my tears fall for your innocent baby and all the innocent ones after. In remembering them, even in our grief, we keep them alive in our hearts, and the 'essence' that was them surrounds us still, they kiss us with a gentle breeze, and warm us on a sunny day. Their bodies may be bound here on earth, but the true spirit of who they were will surround us forever, and help to guide us in the future with what they taught us, they leave us their legacy of love.   

@Di and Bob thank you for your kind words! I just saw your post today and it made me come to tears.

Still torn up about this lil guy. It's easier but every once in a while I just think abt him and remember him running to me when I called his name, or curling up beside me to sleep. I covered his grave with some fresh dirt and planted some forget-me-nots on top of it, and little sprouts are coming up.

it's been a year now since lil boo died. i still miss you baby boo.
