My 14 year old cat was diagnosed over a year ago with a highly aggressive adenosarcoma in both lungs. There is no chemotherapy that has any effect on this fatal cancer. I was told to put Simon to sleep that day. Since he was in no pain and clearly still enjoying a good quality of life I decided to take things one day at a time.

I did a bunch of research and learned of a vet who was using LTCI off-label in some pets with cancer with some success. I was ready to get on a plane to Pittsburgh when my oncologist at the Animal Medical Center in New York said that she was willing to give it a try since there were no other options.

I am so grateful for this medication and the fact that the vet was willing to take a chance on it. Simon is doing great at 15. His weight is good, eating normal and he still plays like a kitten. It's still one day at a time and this may stop working tomorrow, but LTCI has been great for his immune response. Of course, each case is different. The cost of his monthly shot is $75.00.

Welcome to the site! And thank you for sharing this incredible information AND even more so, :woohoo: that Simon is thriving and doing so well! I have heard of LTCI ( Lymphocyte T-Cell Immunomodulator ) I think it regulates the immune system to increase Lymphocytes too. I know of one volunteer at the shelter that used this on her FeLK and FIV+ kitty and it gave her cat so much more time!! Other than that, I don't know much more about it BUT this is so great to know about and hear another success story.

OH and just found this older thread from 2013 on the subject if you are interested in looking over. http://www.thecatsite.com/t/255638/t-cyte-treatment-for-felv-fiv-cats Seems others are having success with this drug as well.
