Just a little back ground on my kitten family. A stray cat had her babies in one of the trees in our yard. One day my kids came running to me, saying something is laying on the pavement, their not sure if its a cat or a rat. I could not understand how they could not tell the difference, until i saw the small rat like cat, few hours old, laying on the pavement. I immediately went and got a nurser and kitty milk and started raising mouse. 4 days after finding mouse, baby cat number 2 shows up in my garden. promptly named Oreo, she joined mouse on the bottle baby parade. On their 7th day, my hubby came rushing to my work, after being home for lunch, with another little angle. T His one got badly hurt from falling out of the tree, and i named her cassy (Le Casse means the broken one

four weeks later and all kittens are well. except cassy. My 9 year old boy ran with a ringing phone, and stepped on cassy. hard. She was immediately taken to the vet, and has a collapsed lung. She has severe trouble breathing, and had to be fed by tube. Yesterday (4 days after) i was able to hold her for the first time, and although the vet said she still does not want to eat, i asked if i can try to feed her. she started to eat!! Yay.... all funny with her head skew and tongue only going out one side. her whole body in pulled to one side. I hope this is a muscle spasm from pain, and that it will get better. Well Cassy is truly my Broken one, and i am hoping she gets better very soon!
