Hello,

We adopted our baby at 8 weeks old. Approximately 2 months ago. He's always been an aggressive player (biting, ejecting claws) but lately it's gotten worse. We he does it usually I yell "OOWW" and stop playing with me. Doesn't work. Now I've have to grab him by the scruf and put him a giant the ground saying in a low voice, "noo biting" then refusing to play with him. Doesn't work. So we do all the above things and if he doesn't settle down, put him in the bathroom to calm down (it breaks my heart, but all we can do) usually he doesn't attack after we left him out (1 minute). But will shortly after. When he attacks these days, it's ears back and punching mid air and latching onto my neck or something along those lines. I know he doesn't hate us, because he's otherwise so sweet and snugly. Especially at night and in the mornings. He nudges hard against our faces purring, falls asleep on our heads, ect. But then he flips out. What do we do? I'm hoping he grows out of it. But it's getting worse. And yes, he has TONS of toys and we play with him atleast 15 minutes a day.

Is he bored? Sometimes bored cats will act out of frustration and get aggressive. Are you playing with your kitten enough? Interactive toys like fishing pole toys are great. Play sessions should be 15 minutes or however long your kittens wants to play (or you have to go to do something else), a few times a day if you can manage.

Getting a second cat often helps. Two cats can play with each other. Since your kitten is young, you can easily add a second similarly age kitten or slightly older kitten. An adult may even work. Some adults get along well with rambunctious kittens.
