I have all year been seeing the cutest types of DIY wreaths on Pinterest, well today I was in Wal Mart and had a vision of something cute for Halloween (of course it has a cat). This is the first ever wreath I have made, I think it turned out pretty good. In fact, I am now brainstorming wreaths for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Winter, Valentine's Day, Saint Patrick's Day, Easter, Fourth of July etc... Maybe a wreath a month on the front door? :)

The wire frame was from Wal Mart for $2.99

Cat was $1.89

Halloween Sign was $1.99

Tulle- I use 2 spools of orange and 1 spool of black ($1 each)-- So cost of supplies was around $10 :)

I would like to do something similar to this for Thanksgiving (It would go up Nov 1)

Very nice! I love diy crafts! They always turn out prettier and for half the cost!

I thought about it.. But they are extremely time consuming. I have seen them selling for 40-50 on etsy and such.. just not sure. Maybe eventually.

I'd start with a small local craft fair to test the water. That's what I did with my jewellery. I only sell as a hobby - basically to finance the jewellery making itself (it gets scarily expensive fast :lol3: ). Selling in a minor way allows me to keep doing it and experimenting with different forms/materials :)
