I went to our local(ish) pet store and saw that the Wild Calling cans went up 40 cents in price!  They are $2.80 CDN for 5.5 oz!  That's insane!  Only the 5.5oz premium line of WERUVA is more (and maybe Nature's Instinct).  Kind of ticks me off.  My kitties are super-picky and they would actually eat Wild Calling.  I did find a family-owned store in the city that sold Wild Calling for $1.99 when 'my' store was selling it for $2.40.  I go to Pet Valu and the Pet Valu in the city also had the price jump so it's not just a shipping-to-remote-location issue.

Has anyone else noticed the price go up?  I'm hoping it's just a Pet Valu issue and I can get the Wild Calling in the city for 80 cents cheaper whenever i make the trip.

I don't where you live but have you checked ordering online. Chewy.com has decent prices.

I'm outside of the States so unfortunately can't go to Chewy.  I've looked and looked and I can't find anywhere online that sells cans cheap enough to make the shipping costs worth it.  I'm also in a remote location so shipping would be even more than normal.

There aren't even that many stores within reasonable driving distance that sell Wild Calling.  We do go to the city somewhat frequently and the family-owned store is across the street from the mall we usually go to for meals and shopping, etc.

I was just wondering if anyone else experienced a price increase with Wild Calling.  I don't want to go into the store hoping it's still 1.99 when it's not.  The family-owned store also has a better by-the-case deal than Pet Valu.  10% vs 5% and Pet Valu only does that for their own store brand.  The family-owned shop only carries the best-of-the-best brands there so the selection is fairly small.  For cats canned food they pretty much only had GO!, Weruva, Wellness, Wild Calling and Nature's Varity Instinct.

I went to Petvalu a couple weeks ago and bought a can of Wild Calling for around $2.40, but obviously they could have changed the price since then. Although, I'm pretty sure the more exotic flavours (rabbit or something) were already $2.80.

I'll just have to get it from the family-owned store then.  And in the meantime I will just go with other brands.  My kitties really like the Weruva and the 3oz cans are reasonably priced for the quality.

I'm in BC, and my online store is still listing them at their regular price at $1.99~$2.29.

Thanks.  That gives me hope that the family-owned store is keeping their prices.  Those prices are more reasonable for a good food.  My kittens demand variety so the short break from Wild Calling is probably for the best.
