Interstate Kitten

I requested the X-rays from the animal hospital when we first took her in. You can see the two large rocks in her stomach and intestines, and also the pebbles in her colon. If you look closely, you can also see the bottle nipple tip in her stomach next to the rock. She was only 6 weeks when this was taken. I still can't believe how well she recovered from all of this!

It's so wonderful that you rescued her and were able to help her recover from such a traumatic event. So glad she is doing well

Well, she traveled fine and I found out she hates dogs and most other cats. My sister-in-law brought her two big dogs to the house. In addition to the dogs my Mother-in-law has two cats, so the house was full of critters. Kiwi wasn't scared to run out and play with the other animals around, but whenever the other animals would approach her, she would put on her ugly face. Aaaand of course my clothes and Kiwi's blanket was marked several times by one of the other cats (should've seen that coming). By the end of the weekend, Kiwi was missing Willow. I was worried about the new cat scents with the reintroduction when we brought Kiwi home, so we did the isolation thing for a little while and then Kiwi was let out. We had zero issues except for the dust bath she gave herself in the litter box.

wow! that was quite an adventure! LOL

There's a chance that Kiwi might love Willow even more after all this.

Kiwi is growing faster by the minute. She had her last round of FVRCP, leukemia and rabies shots this week. The vet said she would probably not eat and mostly sleep for at least 24 hours after those were administered. with that being said, I was looking forward to a good nights rest that evening.....Nope, 5 hours in her and Willow are stampeding around every floor of the house.

Next will be the spay, which is set for early March

I swear, this story has the happiest-possible ending!   Well, it's really not an ending at all - it's the start of Kiwi's awesome life!   It's the cutest thing EVER that Kiwi loves Willow so much  -  Willow must be an exceptional cat herself     And I can tell Kiwi has grown & gotten bigger!   I just love reading through this thread, it is so sweet - thank you for keeping us updated!!

They are so cute together! So glad she is doing well

I just can't get over ow much Willow and Kiwi look like Mama and daughter, and act like it too!  Actually, most Mama cats are totally ready to say good bye to a litter, so they're even closer.  So happy for this kitten, she found her way to the right people.

Kiwi is scheduled to get spayed next month. She's so crazy, I hope she doesn't get too hyper afterwards. We were worried about that with Willow, but everything worked out fine. I guess the only difference this time around is kiwi will want to rough house with Willow.

What a sweet face KiWi has. It's hard to believe she is such a big girl already. Every time I think of her being so hungry she ate rocks, I want to cry. But then you came along. I love happy endings! [emoji]127880[/emoji][emoji]127880[/emoji][emoji]127880[/emoji]
