Bye Lil Guy

i pulled four kittens from the local shelter about two weeks ago and a few days ago the lil striped one- we hadn't yet given him a name- lost weight and passed away pretty suddenly.

i absolutely miss him even if he was here for a short while and only temporarily. he loved to snuggle up against me and was an affectionate lil guy. he liked sleeping on laps the most and being held and would climb up your leg and back to be held if you took too long in picking him up.

















i really hate that we didn't catch whatever it was in time, and that he avoided being put down (they were going to put them down the day i picked them up) only to die a week or so later, but i'm glad i got to spend time with him and i'm glad he didn't die alone and scared in the shelter. when he was dying i laid on the couch with him and he snuggled up under my chin and slept for a bit. i'll always remember that.

Poor little one - my condolences. It's really hard to lose them so young. You question why they were born, only to die a short time later. The only consolation is that they knew what it was like to be warm, well-fed and loved.

Oh, how sad. I cried when I read your post.Poor little kitty. He was so beautiful! I am so sorry for your loss. You cared for him and showed him love. He passed knowing he was wanted and loved and that is so important in any pet's life. I am so sorry his was so short, though. Truly sad!

RIP poor sweet baby kitty...It is hard to go through this sometimes, but the kitty is lucky to have spent time with you... 

My heart cries for that sweet little baby, but I agree with the comments above, you were chosen to love and care for that precious one, so he didn't have to die alone. You were his everything, and I'm sure it comforted him at the end. We will never understand why they have to leave us when they are so loved and wanted, it tears at the heart to ask why and not be answered. My heart goes out to you, I feel your pain and want you to know you are not alone. That sweet little face will haunt my dreams, thank you for letting us get to know that sweet little guy and that he left a mark in this world and on your heart. RIP little one, you will never be forgotten and will be forever held in a loving heart!

Bless you for taking this kittens from the shelter and providing them with love and care.  I am so sorry for your loss.  He was a beautiful baby and you were such a comfort to him.
