Hey everyone! You know the funnest game in the whole wild world? You pull the hind legs off the crickets and watch them wiggle around for a while. They get tired pretty quick and you can gobble them up real fast - and no barbs to poke you!!

I know what you guys mean.. mom would always take away my roaches and lizards that I catch... once me and boy boy, my irritating brother caught a lizard and we shared it and left only a leg.. it freaked mom out though we thought it has a pretty good taste... she cleared the mess up and scolded the two of us for eating the lizard... what's wrong with her?
must be PMS...

I so have my mum wrapped around my pinky claw - all I have to do is look at her and she falls for it every time. It is so easy. And I sit in her space just before she goes to sleep and she sits on the bed cuddling me and giving me scritches for a good 30 minutes before I decide to move to my corner of the bed and go to sleep. Too easy
But, hey I get so much attention.

Kahu

My mum and dad are so easy, I wake them up at 3am by tapping them on the shoulder when I want a kiss and they give it to me. And I am so good at making mum feel guilty when she kisses Kahu, all I do is look at her and so she comes over to me and kisses me. And Kahu does the same thing to mum when she kisses me. Its our secret game that we play. She falls for it every time.

Wow Meow-meow - you get lizards too!?!?! I used to live at another house when I was younger, and my brother Max who didn't have a tail himself hated tails. He would catch the little wall lizards and bite off their tails. They would wiggle for a while in his mouth before he dropped them. He didn't like to eat em, he just didn't want them attached to the lizard. I'm sure glad he never tried to yank off my tail! Please give boy-boy a swat and a lick for me.

Hi, Rowdy back, again. I don't get to eat lizards. We have this really sturdy screen door and I can't get through it. Lizards climb on it and tease me. That darned Pearl dog gets them all and she won't share. She DID try to bring a big, fat horned toad in, one night but Mom made Dad take it away from her.

For some reason, Mom doesn't like bugs and refuses to allow them in the house. Other than the occasional fly, moth or cricket, we don't get any. I see them flying around the patio light but I can't get to them. Why do the dogs get to go out and catch bugs, when I can't? Its not fair!

This is Ophelia and my Mommy and Daddy say I'm a very good hunter. I get to chase flies sometimes, but my favorite are MOTHS! They fly, and are kinda hard to catch but then they are a lot of fun to play with. Unless you have a brother like mine who steals it to play with it.
So I steal it back from Trent and play with it, and we do this a couple times until I'm tired of him stealing MY moth that I caught all by myself, and then I eat it. They are really yummy, and very juicy!
Mommy said they are good "protein" whatever that is. I wish I had more toys that I could eat like that. Lizards sound like fun, but I've never met one. I haven't met a snake or even a mousie! Well, except the toy mousies, but you can't eat those, and they don't move unless Trent or Mommy or Daddy throw them, so I don't like them much.

Peedoodle and Kahu, you have your humans trained really well! I have my Daddy trained well. He stops whatever he's doing when I want him to pet me. I'm still working on making him go to bed when I want to nap with someone, but he's getting better about that. Mommy is really Trent's human more than mine, which is fine. He likes it when she kisses his head! Can you believe it???

This is Snowball, my mom was really easy to train too. When I want to be petted all I have to do is meow once to get her attention, and she'll pet me. I always remember to purr too, so mom will know I'm enjoying myself and she'll keep petting me for a long time. Is 5 or 10 minutes a really
l-o-n-g time?

No silly girl, 5 or 10 minutes is not nearly enough time for the love that we deserve. We should get hours, no days, of non-stop loving! I will purr if I feel they have deserved it. To keep mom and dad at my beck and call, I have mastered the "love me" pose. Silly humans, they can't resist when I flash my belly in their faces. So simple minded they are, my serfs!!

OK, time to put my paw in here. I'm Cindy, and I usually let Fawn be spokecat, because she's a little busybody anyway.

I agree. Moths are very good game, and tasty. That sounds like a good game you have with Trent. Fawn and I sometimes do things like that, too, but mostly we get our own.

Toy mousies are OK for practice. Real mousies are lots of fun! You can toss them and bat them all over the place -- very good exercise for keeping your figure trim -- and of course there's no obligation to eat them. Just leave them where the human will appreciate your hunting prowess, that's all I do.

Oh, yes, I can, Ophelia. That's really very nice, actually. Soon, I'm going to suggest to Mum that it's time for bed, and then she'll pick me up and we'll have a little walk upstairs while she says nice things to me and kisses my head and I'll snuggle on her shoulder. When we get upstairs, I'll wait on the bed while she does -- I can't IMAGINE what all she does before she actually comes to bed, but then she'll scoop me up and climb in and I'll curl up on her lap and we'll go to sleep together. And if she doesn't remember to pick me up for our walk, I'll just get in front of her on the stairs and she'll remember.

Nice talking to you

Muddy here - hey, I've got my mommy trained to do the same!! Good going! Now I'm trying to train her to catch me when I jump from the floor into her arms. Well....she catches me most the time, but she missed once and I fell on my butt. I never put my claws out to catch myself, so she is just going to have to be smart about it or I will start using my claws on her. Behavior training your parents can be difficult sometimes.

My mum is so mean, I love playing with her hair ties but she won't let me, she thinks it is too dangerous
She hides them all in her drawer so I can not get them. Sometimes she forgets and I steal them and run off with them but she always catches me. Its not fair, I swear she is teasing me by hiding them in that darn drawer! Sometimes I try and pull them out of her hair when she is sitting on the couch and some of those times, I am successful, but she takes it away from me again and puts it back in her hair. Mean mum!

I'm Opie and I'm Boss Cat. MY mom has betrayed me - she lets that new kid, Buddy, sleep next to her! If I don't come to bed, right away, he just plunks himself right down and Mom won't make him move.

Last night, Mom got up to use her litter box and I decided to visit mine, too. When I got back, there was Buddy, snuggled up against Mom's hip. Well, I showed them - I jumped up, gave Mom a kiss on the nose and curled up on her shoulder. NOBODY is going to interfer with my snuggle time, with Mom.
