about how long has she been in labor? how old is she? is the kitten that came out partway but then went back inside her, the first kitten? i mean, it's very common for there to be more than one kitten born in a litter -- so, has she given birth to any other kittens during this labor, or is she having trouble birthing the first kitten?

do you have a vet that you can get momma cat to? a vet can assist momma cat in birthing, even doing a c-section to birth the kitten(s) if necessary.

How is it going?    I know  the situation is over now, this way or another.

The easy advice is to get vets help, IRL (rush in) or  via telephone.

But if its d full delivery, no vet nearby, and the kitten is apparently stuck more than a few minutes, the trick to try is to take the kitten, if possible where you get a good grip - perhaps with a handkerchef or thin gloves so its not slippery - wait till the mom push a contraction, and try to draw the kitten, carefully and mild, but yet  resolutly - togehther with the contraction.

With a little luck it manages, without harm to mom, and even the kitten may still be alive and unharmed...    A couple of our forumites were there as luck were, and could help their cats this way...   They were inexperienced firsttimers, but they kept their head cold in the moment of truth.

Just drawing when mom is not pushing, is much much more dangerous both for mom and kitten  - and more difficult...

It sounds like she needs to go back to the vet. I'm concerned she's gone septic from what you're describing!

She may not eat, drink, or urinate much at all for 24 hours while the anesthesia wears off. Your cat had major surgery and is going to be very sore for a few days. She should make a full recovery.

Did they send you home with antibiotics and pain medicine for her? She needs both.

Your cat needs to see an emergency vet immediately. You should not wait another day.

She needs emergency care today! She needs antibiotics and pain medicine, like I told you in my post 6 days ago.

Can you get her to the vet who performed the surgery?

You say your vet isn't available and other vets have refused to see you:   can you try to contact your vet again.   This sounds very serious and don't think your cat can wait until tomorrow.   If you still can't get hold of your vet are there any others you can try to call?

I just have to echo what others have said.  If you want your cat to live she needs IMMEDIATE medical attention from a professional.  Please let us know what happens.  We are very worried about her.

Aash if you're in Maritius I can understand your dilemma. For those of you in North America and Europe, emergency vet care is rare in much of the rest of the world, and basic vet care is often hard to access as well. If Aash says the regular vet is not available, I believe it. Are there any vets who are members of this forum who could talk Aash through some kind of home emergency care, perhaps over a Skype call?

Aash I think you have to insist she get treatment from one of those other vets you spoke with. I don't know any vet who would turn their back on an animal suffering as she clearly is....not if she was right in front of them. Please don't give up. She needs emergency care and it cannot wait!!

even today my vet is not available...yes its true 1 vet actually refused me...the wound is healing and drying slowly..if ill take her to the vet  will have to cut her again...my cat is eating drinking normally now...only yesterday she was peeing alot...now she is okay..im worried if the vet reopen the wound which is healing nw...may endanger her life....n the place i live is very far to get any vet...her pee is a bit dark yellow...but she seems to be fine.... she is able to walk finely....i really hope the wound heal ASAP...im applying antibiotics and antiseptic on it...i think this is making it to heal fast...the medecine that the vet prescribed was not making any effect on it.....she had to drink amoxicillin 125g/5ml....thats the prescription..the vet told me that my cat had to be fine in 1 week but that was not the case....some watery thngwas coming out of her wound and i think my cat was putting her tongue on it maybe thats when the thread melted and this unfortunate thng happened to her....i really hp she will be fine fast....

She is probably going into sepsis. I hope some vet helps you out soon. The wound may need to be reopen to save her life. The stitches you put in will have to be removed sometime. It is good you have antibiotics at least. oh I hope someone helps you soon!!!
