My kitten is 3 months old. Every time I petted him he would purr an lay on my chest and purr non stop. And today I go to pet him and he doesn't purr all day I've tried and I'm worried. He's also kind of distant and I tried feeding him to see if he was hungry but he still doesn't purr when I pet him.

I wouldn't be concerned, he is just a baby and sometimes when they get older they get a little more independent. When I first brought my baby Dallas home he was 1 month old and literally wouldn't leave my side, but now he is 3 months as well and likes to roam around a lot more. He gets in affectionate moods, but no cat is going to be purring and affectionate 24/7. Cats are like people sometimes and they just get in different moods. There are some days were both of my cats want to cuddle in bed with me all day and crave attention, and then others when they want to sit around on the window ledge by themselves.

Sometimes it can be a little sad to see them go off on their own more and not need your constant attention, but it's just a sign they are growing up and becoming more comfortable in your home.

As long as the kitten is eating and drinking okay I wouldn't worry so much :)

If he is eating and drinking normally he may have just been spooked by something during the day and is skittish because of it. If he is not eating and drinking normally he need to see his vet.
