A month ago I picked up a stray kitty and I know she is pregnant, very pregnant in fact. I made a nesting box for her in her own room, she is also eating wet kitten food for about 2 weeks now. Her nipples are big, her belly bulges, and she is cleaning alot on her stomach and genital area. No discharge from either place yet. She's also very clingy and constantly wants me I'm the room with her. I have been temping her temp has been 100.4 for awhile then this morning I took it and it was 99.6. I have never seen/had a cat that was pregnant so idk what to look for when it comes to her beginning labor. She is also eating tons. Babies are moving alot.

Any advice that you can give when it come to when you think she will start labor or really what to watch for would really be appreciated thanks..

Sounds good. Labor is prob not imminent as yet. a day or two before delivery, they go down into their birthing canal, and become less movable,   She is dropping - and literally, often looks suddenly smaller.

Rub her tummy if she so wants and allows!   She may have some precontractions, but when the real contractions come, you will surely notice....

Sorry, I dont have my links on this computer...  But please continue to report, and come with questions as they comes.

Good luck!

Thanks to both of you, she looks so miserable. She just ate dinner, she don't drink water unless I put it in with her food for some reason.

Cats don't really tend to drink for the most part. I'm assuming you feed her wet food which further explains it.

So she had her babies at 6am today. She had 4. I have a question, she won't nurse them unless I'm sitting by her, when I get up she gets up. Idk what to do because I go back to work in a couple days, and I can't be there with her. If I confine her by herself she meows constantly and loud. Any advice would help.

She will settle down soon. Cats frequently do this the first day or so after delivering kittens. She will not be meowing for you while you are at work because she'll know that you're not home. If need be though, you can close her in your bedroom with her kittens while you are gone as long as you leave food, water, and litter for her.

Has she settled in some today? Is she nursing her kittens well?

It's hard to explain. Now she will go in her room by herself and nurse if she hears the kittens cry. But when I step outside or somewhere where she can't see me she meows loud and alot until she can start to see me. I couldn't stay up anymore last night so I went to bed and she meowed all night long, until I got up at 4am and sat with her by her nesting box.

Ah, so she is feeling very needy. Can you put her and her kittens in your bedroom with you? Perhaps that would help to calm her down being in the same room with you.
