Cats are pregnant for 9 weeks and start to show between 3 - 5 wks so if you found her 5 weeks ago and you could see she was pregnant she should be coming close to the end. Cats deal with going overdue better than humans. However premature kittens don't do well so don't even consider C sections. Let nature take its course. What are you feeding her? She should ideally be in kitten wet and dry food as its higher in calories and protien. I'm playing the waiting game too with my foster cat. Make sure you give her nesting options. Moggy is now confined to the spare bathroom. There's lots of space for her litter tray and food plus her bed. She had 3 nests offered and she has picked one, although I've left the others in place just in case she changes her mind. Have to dash as I have kittens calling for their dinner. Will check back in later. Good luck xx

As long as she doesn't have a foul smelling or dark coloured discharge this should be fine but I'm no expert, I can only talk from my own experience. You may want to confine her in the room you want her to give birth in or she my decide to nest somewhere inappropriate, like your wardrobe!!! Lol. From what I can gather cats give birth whenever they feel like it. My moggy is nearing the end and has displayed a few signs such as spending more time in the nest , herteats are larger and appear to be filling, she is grooming more, especially her belly, she is amazingly affectionate. Have a read through some of the other threads about other people's experiences, you may be able to identify with some. But I think overall if she is happy, no temperature, no smelly discharge and kittens are moving around chances are she will have them when they are good nd ready. Keep us up to date with how things are. Let's see who delivers first lol . x
