My worst time was when I had a whole big thermos about 32oz of super hot coffee on my table while I got ready for work. My kitty decided to jump up to try to steal my Eggo's, they slide across the table and made all 32oz of super hot coffee go all over my lap legs and feet. Took a month to recover, plus I'm a guy.

My clumsy cat once tried to jump into my lap, lost her balance, and dug her claws into my legs to keep steady. Ouch. :sniffle:

While sitting on the toilet, my (then 15 week old) cat decided to jump on my lap....he lost his balance and gripped onto my bare thighs with his sharp kitty claws as he continued to fall.

As a juvenile, our last cat jumped on a flat radiator with a grid on top when getting down from a window sill. My husband couldn't move quickly enough to disengage the claw that got stuck in the grid, and Jamie pulled out the entire claw. It was literally a bloody mess, and the claw grew back in crooked and brittle, so it had to be trimmed regularly for the rest of his life.

Jamie was a daredevil who played on our winding staircase and wasn't afraid to jump down to the next floor through the center gap, so we had "safety nets" made of tablecloths on the staircase till he reached adulthood. His favorite trick was to jump down into any wash basket I was carrying upstairs - a "hobby" that was dangerous for both of us, especially after he reached 6 kilos.

Lucy jumped after a fly and straight into our brand new tv which fell off its stand. Luckily they were both fine but the SO was rather annoyed!

We'd just moved into a new place, and had a bookshelf that we hadn't placed yet. IT was sitting on casters about 3 feet from a window. We were laying in bed contemplating our exhaustion.  And we watched as my kitty jumped up onto the windowsill. She looked out the window and then she looked at the bookshelf.  And then she looked at us and then the bookshelf and we were like "Kitty, that is so not going to work."

Of course, she couldn't resist, so she tried for the jump and ended up hanging by her paws from the top of the bookshelf looking at us like "HALP" before she fell.  It was a VERY loony tunes moment.

A few weeks after we adopted our cat, she discovered the wonders of the kitchen counter and started exploring up there all the time. One day when she wanted to get down, she made the poor decision to jump onto the swing top of our (fortunately empty) trash can. She fell right in, got super freaked out, and bounced around in there until the whole trash can toppled! Luckily she was okay. Needless to say, it was the only time she's ever attempted that move.
