About how long after you can feel the kittens move will they be born my queen got out a couple months ago so I have been trying to figure out how far along she is. Her nipples are getting bigger and hair is disappearing around them but nothing is coming out of them. That I have noticed. She is sleeping more them normal and when she is awake she is more lovey then normal she usually won't come to me and only comes to my husband now she is shying away from him and coming to me more and more. I have been trying to give her kitten food but she won't eat it.she is about 2 year old but looks like she is 6 months. I also have a 5 year old male that has been fixed since he was 7 months so I know they aren't his. But both of them have been on the same food since I have had them.

The kittens are born 2 - 3 weeks after you feel or see movement.

I felt them for the first time today my husband said he felt them last week.thank you I will read through them I am just trying to take time off work to try and be home currently I have a friend coming over to check on her a few times a day while me and my husband are at work. I am just worried about the birth because she is so small. Prepregnancy weight was only 5lbs.and she is at 8 now. My other cat is 15lbs and we have cut him out of our room. I am worried about him hurting her or the babies when they are born we try to keep her in our room but she knows how to open the doors. And comes out. I just don't want her here alone when the time comes. As I am worried about complications because of her size.

she will not want the other cat around her at  all the last few days and probably the first 3 or 4 weeks after giving birth.  She should be very protective of the kittens.  Unless they are really good friends.  She will need a quiet, dark place for the first few weeks w/the litter of kittens with her food and water and a litter box nearby.

Yes I plan on spaying her. And all the kittens before they go to their forever homes. That's what people are telling me which is why we have started keeping our 5 year old cat out of our room and trying to keep her in with her water food and litter box. She has been around him her whole life and they get along always have. But between me and my husband and two kids we are trying to limit people around her to keep stress level down for her. And I have a kitting box set up in my closet with spare blankets and towels on payday I am picking up a couple nursing bottles and replacement milk as this is her first litter and we aren't sure if she will try to reject them or not.I also am getting a kit together for me with gloves and scissors and things just incase I have to intervine and assist. I am just scared it's been along time since I have gone through this and it's nerve wracking. we were trying to find a low cost vet to spay her when she wound up pregnant.and by time we found one she was to far along and the vet wouldn't touch her.when I told him she was pregnant and showing he said he wouldn't do it. So we have it all set up for after.

Thank you the hardest thing is I don't have an approximate due date as I have no idea when she got pregnant I know it could be any time. As normally she eats 2-3 bowls of food a day and is now barely finishing one. I have tried to change her to kitten food but she won't touch it. She turns her nose and walks away. But she is on a high protein food already formulated for indoor cats. Because she is indoor only but she did get out twice once in the end of July and the other in the beginning of August. I will say she seems to have no desire to go outside right now and has become attached to me. I just want to make sure she isn't alone in fear of a complication. And no one being home. So I have my neighbor I trust checking up on her every few hours while me and my husband are at work. I plan on taking a couple days off but there is still no guantee she will have them during that time. So I am really hoping she has them on a Saturday so I can be with her the day of and day after just incase

She's eating less because she has no room in her belly. If she mated end of July to beginning of August, then she is likely due this week. I'd say possibly by this weekend even.

I wouldn't worry that she's not eating kitten food since you have her on a good diet already.

With any luck she'll deliver when you are home to be with her!

I am hoping for Saturday were I can be with her. Me and my husband are planning a quiet night in with no kids as its our 14 anniversary. I will update as things happen with her. I am still planning on picking up the last few things I need for her and babies invade I need them I am picking up the powdered krm. As I have heard bad things about the liquid on here and other sites. I am also getting wax free floss invade she don't deal with the cords after and going to the thrift store to pick up some towels and blankets for her and them. Just hope she don't have them on my bed.really wishing I could lock her in a room but sadly that is not an option as she knows how to open the doors on her own. Might talk to my landlord and see if I could get a different handle for my door as my room is were I want her to have them. I cleaned out the closet for her and have an area set up for her in there. Just hope she uses it.

You could try putting a hook and eye latch on the outside of your bedroom door so she can't open it.

You could also throw an old quilt over your bed in case she does have them there. Something you can wash that you don't mind getting stained.

We talked about away to block her from opening it but we are worried that because she knows all she has to do it jump and hook her paws around the door knob she can open the door. That if she repeatedly jumps to open the door she will get hurt. So with her basically she has run of the house and can pick whatever place she wants to have them. We have started lining the beds with incontinence pads for adults invade she decided to have them on a bed. But I am seriously hoping for a closet. And not under one of our beds especially my sons as his room is really loud and he has friends that come and go I would be worried they would accidently hurt them. If she is in his room. I have already found a home for two of them depending on how many she has and they are going to family. But I want them completely weaned and box trained and fixed before they leave me.

From the forums I have been reading is advantage is the flea med to use on nursing queens. However is it safe to use while mom is pregnant? I noticed a couple fleas on mom a few days ago and she is gonna have the babies anytime now. And I want to get them under control before the babies are born.

Yes, Advantage is safe for pregnant moms, and it's always best to get rid of all fleas before the babies are born.

I took this one this morning and because they were all doing good I didn't get weights last night but I am gonna try to get them today and post individual pictures of them so far they all seem to be different shades of grey. One of them I am a little worries about as that one seems to be the smallest. So I will be keeping a eye on them. She kept trying to lay on two of them trying to nurse so I moved them. She will leave them and come out to see everyone else. But if they make a peep she is up and running to check on them.

One question? How much should they weight at birth or 24 hours after? And how much should they be gaining everyday. OK guess that was two. I have one that is seems really small so I am worried about that one and want to make sure their weights are doing good. In case I need to supplement.
