A friend of mine will be celebrating her 30th wedding anniversary next month
I was thinking of getting her and her husband this: https://www.etsy.com/listing/154191659/bird-couple-wall-art-personalized?ref=favs_view_6 Do you think that would be ok? The seller has different images to choose from but I think two "love birds" would be best
(althought I am tempted with the turtles because the husband is nicknamed "turtle dad"
) There is an option to add a date or phrase to the picture. I kind of want to note the 30th anniversary but I'm not sure how best to phrase it
Does anyone have suggestions?

It's really pretty.

A quote- let's see- how about

"and 30 years later, they'd still say I DO"

or something like that

Oh that's a good one
I just thought of "Happily married for 30 years and still counting".

Any other suggestions out there?

I think I'm going to get owls instead and add in the phrase "Married 30 years and still having a hoot" or something like that. I confirmed with my friend and her anniversary is actually in December, not November. I think I confused the date with her birthday

The traditional and modern gifts for a 30th wedding anniversary pearls and diamonds.

Not knowing your friends, their decor or personalities makes it a bit difficult suggesting a gift. What if you did something like this and had it framed on a Mother-of-Pearl frame? (sorry, my graphics aren't very good).

Never ever buy art work for somebody else. People have very particular tastes as to what they want to hang on their
own walls.

[quote name="LTS3" url="/t/307071/30th-wedding-anniversary-gift-idea verytto hang itst_3849550"]I found something kind of along the same like as the spoon: https://www.etsy.com/listing/174297458/framed-personalised-pearl-anniversary It's a little more generic but it can be personalized. I also found some small bowls made with mother-of-pearl that I know the DH will like. He likes decorative bowls.

Bowls are good.

Suppose you do buy something for the walls and hate it. Will they have to hang it up so as. Not to upset you. Take it down
when you've gone. Put it back up when you come. Art is a very personal thing. I gave my sister a sort of painting for the wall. Before she opened it she said but you don't know my taste. As it happened it was a framed and glass covered it was a collage of pictures of our parents as children. It was made for us by my ex. Then my BiL wanted one. This was not art just warm remembrances. I'd never have dared buy her a picture.
Sorry. I've been a bit long winded.

Traditional is Pearls. Modern is Diamonds.

I don't like pearls or diamond.

I was married for 22 years. Got divorced amicably. After a year his business went down the drain and he was flat broke. I told him to come home. The kids were married so there was room. Apart from that year we've been together, but NOT together for 45 years during this time he has driven me mad, got on my nerves, fought and saved my life. Now he takes care of me but he still drives me mad and bores me to tears and my cats love him more than they love me which really upsets me. We still have separate bedrooms, thank you very much. Eeeeeww!
