Hello,

I have never posted a thread before in my life so I hope I am doing this right... I have also never owned a kitten/cat before in my life but I know I have all the essentials and I have lived with friends who owned their own cats so I know how much effort and time and care they need, but after I met this little guy, Pip, from a friend whose aunt had found him wondering on the side of the road I could not say no to taking him in and giving him all the love and attention I could possibly offer.

I am not even going to try and use any terminology in terms of his coat pattern or hair length. I will upload one or two pictures that hopefully will give you a good idea of what he looks like.. I kind of thought he most resembled and "American Bobtail"? However I realized shortly after (like literally as I am posting this thread piece) that the tails do not match up at all.. he has a mid-to-long length tail, I suppose you could say it is kind've thin and long... and my best guess age-wise is he can only be about three months old.. tops... His paws are relatively small and if cats in terms of anatomic make up are anything like dogs I am assuming he will be a smaller domestic cat even once fully grown due to his paws size and the fact that he is smaller than the size of my foot (size 13 mens). He has a pattern that somewhat resembles a tigers, in horizontal stripes of black and dark grey.. he has a white chest and white facial features around his mouth and eyes.. his ears looks like a lynx (when relaxed and not alert they lay somewhat diagonal and they have they pieces of long hair that shoot off at the point of each ear.

Pip has an amazing personality also.. honestly I know it's weird but he reminds me more of a dog than a cat.. loves being rubbed, even rolls over and wants his tummy rubbed, loves to get baths, very very playful.. he really only stops playing to eat and sleep for like an hour or two.

If anyone can help me figure out what type of breed he is that would be absolutely fantastic! Thank you all so much.

Yeah, writing down the thoughs helps often to come into insights on  your own...  see!?

Good you mention his tail is thin.  Thus he isnt no mediumhair, as I though he may be.   The tail is the easiest way to reveail such.

I agree with your analysis.   I think he is a  domestic - alike the big majority of cats.  His tabby pattern is called for mackerel tabby.  In other langueages they use the wording of  striped or tigered tabby - exactly as you are yourself saying.

The coloring pattern of  white and colored spots may be called here for Saddle.     Which is inbetween Tuxedo and Harlequin...

Two guys whom were lucky to meet each other, to each others great benefit!

Welcome and good luck!
