we got him as a kitten, he is now 4yrs old. i never really considered him a big cat until i go into the pet store and see the full grown cats in there or the cats in the neighbourhood. he is 27lbs but the vet said he isn't overweight. The vet says maybe somewhere along the line he has maincoon in him. He is a lot longer than most cats i see, when he stretches out he is almost the width of a queen size bed.
just trying to transition him to wet food. he had a urinary blockage about a year ago, and was put on ???C/D for urinary health, but then a couple weeks ago decided he would not eat it anymore, went a full day not eating. so off to pet store to get some sample bags of food to see if he would eat something else. found one but then was afraid he should still be on prescription diet. went back to vets and got another formula royal canine SO. unfortunately i read the ingredient list when i got home, not impressed.
been doing some research and i think wet diet would be better. he does like the presidents choice brand of wet but still loves dry.
makes sense what i am reading about the dry and cats not being very good drinkers, however Sid does drink a lot, the clumps in his litter box are huge and there are a lot of them each day.
Wow! Sid is really a big boy! And beautiful, too. Looking forward to seeing lots of photos of him. And good luck with the search for the right food. I know what a pain that can be!
