I wasn't always a cat person, thin I got charlie. Charlie was a stray I picked up In December 2014. I noticed him hanging around my grandfather's house for a few weeks. One day I was watching him and noticed he was blind so i picked him up and realized he had no eyes. Not wanting him to get him by a car and never having had a cat before we decided to take him to the shelter. As we drove him there we started to feel guilty, knowing he would be put to sleep we just kept driving and went to my vet. When we got to the vet he confirmed that Charlie did not have eyes but that he also had no teeth. Charlie had a bad sinus infection so the vet gave us antibiotics and we took him home. After looking for Charlies owners with no luck we decided to keep him. He is so sweet, He loves people and his doggie sisters, He even likes going for rides in the car!

Oh my Gosh they're all adorable especially Charlie. Sounds like it was fate!! Did the Vet tell you why he has no teeth or eyes?

the vet said he likely got an eye infection as a kitten and his eyes pooped. as for his teeth we don't know, Its possible he was abused.

Charlie looks absolutely adorable, esp in that photo together with the rest of your fur crew -  he's even sitting like your dogs!   He fits right in like he's always been one of the crowd.
He is so lucky you noticed him, and picked him up that day and fell for his charms.  I'm guessing he wouldn't be able to survive outdoors for long without sight or teeth, but in your safe and loving home he should have all the time he wants.   I hope his health is now good and stays that way for a long time to come.   What could better than being surrounded by warm furry friends and loving people who want to pamper you and give you cuddles when ever you ask for them.   Magic.

Welcome to TCS, I hope we hear lots more about Charlie, find out more about those car rides he enjoys, and see loads more photos too.  (Your avatar picture is fantastic!

I wanted to give everyone an update on charlie. Sadly we lost him in November of liver failure. We fought vary hard to save him but sadly it was just his time to go and he passed peacefully in my arms.

After a few weeks I decided to check out a cat rescue and fell in love with a sweet boy named Frank. After a few days of thinking I decided to go back and bring my baby home. After bringing him home we changed his name to Niko. He was shot in the face and still has some bullet fragments in his face. He is missing many teeth and has a hole in the roof of his mouth so food goes into his sinuses so he sneezes a lot. No one wanted him because his sneezing can be messy. I don't mind that's what bleach wipes are for lol. Niko isn't a loving kitty like charlie was but when he is in a loving mood he gives the best hugs.

I'm sorry about Charlie.  He really was a cutie and you did a wonderful thing taking him in and giving him a home.  He knew he was loved and that means so much to a cat.

A big welcome to Niko.  He's as lucky as Charlie, coming into your home.  Not everyone adopts a cat who has been through such trauma and  you've done it twice.

Thank you for your condolences, I still miss him everyday.

I'm a sucker for special needs animals. I never had a pet that wasn't special needs.

I've been off line for over a week and only just seen your update @Amber85  .    Charlie looked so happy and chilled out in those photos with your dogs, and in  his months with you he must have thought his dreams had all come true.  I am sad for you that you didn't have longer together, but Niko looks like the purrfect way to help you through loosing Charlie.  Niko looks like a real character, and very nosy and cheeky despite the awful experiences he has had in his little life so far.   He is one lucky cat to have a place in your home.  May you enjoy many years together and those food / sneeze issues he has not cause too many health problems for him.   He is gorgeous.
