Hello there :) I'm new here and could really do with some help and guidance!

I've recently moved into a new flat and my flatmate has got some new kittens who are about 4 months old now (they are very beautiful, called Emma and Rosa).

Rosa is much bigger than Emma and quieter.

Emma used to be the bigger one but quite suddenly she's got a lot smaller - she's now probably only two thirds of the size of Rosa. She seems to be hungry all the time; she roots around in the bin and tries to eat food off the table and our plates.

Recently she's just started miaowing nearly constantly.

Any advice? I've suggested feeding them more and going to the vet of course. Or do you think she's just naughty and uses all her energy up on nicking food and miaowing?

Could the bigger kitten be eating more than her share, leaving the other one hungry? It does sound like she's very hungry, that's probably the cause of both the food stealing and the meowing.

My suggestions are the same as yours, try feeding them more (and maybe separate them for meals) and go to the vet to see if there is a medical problem causing this.

The hungry one may have worms, pretty much all kittens are born with worms so they need de-worming and the smaller one should be allowed to eat as much as he wants as often as he wants it.  Please take him to a vet, or all of them if they haven't been for standard de-worming and exams.
