She had a poo a couple of hours ago. Then she had another. Following that half an hour ago she went to the litter box and gave a big push for only a small poo. She has just gone to the litter box again and strained again but this time she didn't pass anything at all. But she making no noise. No meowing, no purring, nothing. Thanks so much for your advise. It's reassuring to know that it is ok for her to behave this way. I've double checked her temp just in case she had a high temp and it's fine. Her gums look nice and pink. She just looks like she just wants to sleep and be left alone

She's preparing for the birth. All sounds well. I would let her rest and eat as much ad she wants.

Well still no kittens for lucky. I've got her booked in for the vet Monday for a check up and to get some worming treatment. She just not acting like any other cat I've had in before. Sh3 is permanently lay down and only gets up to eat or use the litter tray. She is making lots of trips to the litter tray where she only expels a small ampunt of runny poo. I'm getting quite worries as I know nothing about this young kitty.

She definitely needs to be checked. Something is not right. Can she be seen sooner? Do you see or feel any kitten movement at all?

I would have thought she'd have started active labor by now. I agree that it might be time for her to see a vet. Poor thing!

I can feel movement inside her tummy. I've just put up two more nests just in case she is trying to hold off if she not happy with her environment. I will take her to the emergency vet tomorrow. Thank you both Sarthur2 Sarthur2 and talkingpeanut talkingpeanut

Please let us know what they say. I'm glad you can feel movement. It may be that she has a virus or bacterial infection that is causing her diarrhea and lack of energy. Best to get to the bottom of it. She may need an antibiotic. Perhaps they can determine where the kittens are in their development as well. It's all so puzzling!

I've made one nest from an upturned cardboard box. I've put an old duvet, shredded paper and rags inside and lined the top of the box with a fee fur tree twigs and foliage. It's small and dark and she walked straight I'm so hopefully she will feel more at ease there. I will let you know as soon as she has seen the vet. Thanks so much for your help and advice

So brilliant of you to create the new nest! Bless her heart. I'm relieved too! I guess she was laboring silently. I'm so glad she had an easy delivery with healthy kittens as I was becoming quite concerned. More pictures when you get a chance. Poor gal must feel so much better now. Let us know if she has more! You can cancel the trip to the emergency vet now! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Four babies! I'll bet you are exhausted along with her. Thank goodness you took this cat in, or she'd be out in the cold with these kittens. I hope you can both rest soon.
