Ok guys, lucky is still mega chilled out. She just sleeps all day making o attempt to leave the pen. She has milk in her teats but other than that I can't tell you anything else. I've never seen a cat so subdued so I've booked an appointment to sew a vet on Monday.her temp is normal and she is eating and drinking normally. But I'm just concerned because she is so chilled. She doesn't look very old, possibly around the 12 month mark. I just don't what to do with her [emoji]128532[/emoji] on a brighter note sofis kittens are gaining steadily and sofi is a very good mommy and a lovely cat who is always pleased to see me when I go in. I always worry when they come in pregnant as I know nothing about them, and I know nothing about lucky. I will post some pics, not that it will probably help me but any advice would be great. All I can tell you at the mom is that her temp is normal, she is lactating, she sleeps most of the day, she is breathing heavy, she purrs when she sees me, eating and drinking fine, poo is a bit running I have her on kitten food and krm. That's about all.

She sounds like a pregnant cat who possesses a very low-key personality, and is very content. It also sounds like she is getting close to her due date. Are you seeing the vet for a general checkup? I'd think about de-worming for sure. It doesn't sound like she's ill in any way though - just heavily pregnant and lazy!

I have De flea'd her but wasn't sure if I could worm her because of her pregnancy. I just thought I would get the vet to check her over due to the fact that she was in such a state when she came in.

Vet check is a good idea. She can be de-wormed while pregnant. It may be parasites causing the runny stool. That or change in diet.

She can be wormed for tape worms and round worms. Vets use praziquantel and pyrantel pamoate in the U.S. I do not know which brands are used in the UK. Your vet can prescribe for you.

@sarthur2 I'm sending a pic of luckys rear end as I'm not sure what I'm seeing. Lucky had some running poo and so I attempted to clean her bottom which was all dirty. That was when I noticed that her vulva looked odd. You can actually see an opening as if she was dilating. Could you take a look please.

As you can see her bottom is quite messy and the vulva looks slightly open. I'm feeling a bit worried

I would think that she is in pre-labor. The heavy breathing, dilation, and diarrhea all point to her body getting ready for delivery.

talkingpeanut talkingpeanut fab thank you so much I was getting very worried. She has just poo'd again and it is very liquid this time. She has made no attempt to nest she justis happy just to lay on the floor near her bed sleeping mostly. Although she is cleaning herself down below alot at the mo but I'm not sure if that's because she has just poo'd again. I'm very confused.

Is she getting up to use the litter box or just going on herself?

Licking herself a lot is totally normal. She probably has discharge too.

She is getting up and using the litter box then just laying back down. She just seems to want to sleep. No pacing or attempts at nesting. I just was a bit freaked out when I turned her over to clean her bottom and saw her lady bits that way. She only came in day before yesterday but her vulva was swollen but not open like that. I know nothing about her which doesn't help. Where before she has let me touch her nipples and rub her tummy now she won't let me touch her under side at all.

I think she's just getting close. Try not to worry unless she looks like she's in distress. I know that's easier said than done, especially with a cat you don't know!
