It sounds as though you have things well in hand. Those two older babies still need a mommy, bless their hearts. It's nice of Moggy to help them out.

Can I just rant....please!!!!! I noticed in the local shpock site (German site like eBay that we have here in the uk) " kittens for sale. 6 wks old and ready to go £30 each" I messaged the seller begging her not to sell these babies at this age as they are far too young. Unfortunately I way told to mind my own busines. I reported the seller to the site but 3 days later she was still selling. So I emailed the site and said that what they allowing is appalling. I copied the RSPCA guidelines to them and told them I was going to report them ......they are still selling. I'm so sad. Why are people so heartless!!! It's disgusting. All of my foster kittens go out fully vaccinated chipped and come back for neuter. I just need to let off steam. Angry.com.

I wish all these sites would stop selling animals like they would a handbag. I have reported the site, its just awful. On a positive note, time to do some update photos on the foster babies...........

Rest now baby boy. RIP liquorice. I lost my little boy yesterday. At just 8 weeks old he had such a short life. He had a congenital liver shunt and his tiny body just couldnt anymore. I feel so blessed to have been there when he came into the world and i held him in my arms as he floated out. Sleep well my beautiful boy. You were loved xxx

I'm so sorry.  Such a short life.  At least it was a happy one with warmth, love and family.  Is this genetic?  Do you need to worry the others will have it as well?

handsome kitty handsome kitty apparently not. the vet said it was a congenital liver shunt. he said its most likely that due to the mommy cat being stray little babys internal organs just couldnt develop properly. he was the first one born in his litter and was very small. its seems like ages ago now that you guys helped me through moggys labour. im just so sad that ive lost him. all the other kittens are doing well. i have homes for them all including mom. plus i have an agreement with the vet to neuter for half price. poor liquorice just turned 8 weeks old. heartbreaking. Some things to look out for with liver shunts. Kitty will be small, reluctant to eat or wean, losing weight or not gaining, quiet in their manner, loose stools, increased thirst, sometimes appearing dazed or confused. Poor liquorice was small and quiet. He would often sleep alot more than the others. He had no loose stools or increased thrist but looking back now yes he did sometimes look a bit dazed. In older cats surgery is an option but this tiny baby was just to small to even attempt surgery. Just keep a look out for the signs and if in doubt see the vet.

Hi all. Here's a quick update on the kitten house. I've now registered as a cat rescue and fosterer. I have 3 cats waiting for rehoming. And in Dec I had this little beauty in. Her name is sapphire and she was used as a breeder. The breeder has been reported to the rspca and sapphire was placed with me. She was so weak and thin. She is used to being caged and it took me over a week to get used to coming out if a cage and into the house. She is so timid I've adopted her as the RSPCA don't feel she is suitable for rehoming. Pics to follow.

@donnak

Go to your profile page.

Select "Account Details" (Located next to "Edit Community Profile")

On left of page, see "Preferences" menu with 4 choices, including "Change Password."

I don't know if you can do this in "Mobile" mode so if you are on your mobile, switch to "Desktop" mode (at bottom of any page)

Hope this helps!

I have so much to catch up on. I've become a registered foster carer now for a local cat rescue centre who are wonderful. They have been so supportive. I basically carry on independently as I have been but I get to use their vets for any of my foster cats and it means all rescue cats now get rehomed neutered and kittens come back for neuter. Oh there's just so much I coukd go on forever. But first let me introduce you to my new family member, sapphire....

Sapphire had been used for breeding and when no longer viable had been handed into Wellcat (rescue centre) who then in turn asked me if I would like her as shes not suitable for rehoming. She is beautiful but is used to being caged so we have our work cut out for us. She is getting on well with snowball and Leia, my other cats and is really coming out of her she'll. When asked by Wellcat where I learned so much about cats and birthing etc I told them it all came from you guys Sarthur2 Sarthur2 you've been amazing. I'm always following you. But everyone has been fab. handsome kitty handsome kitty again, fab advise and support. Well guys here we go again.....

meet sofi a rescue who came in recently and who I think is ready to pop. Like always not knowing anything about her means I'm having to guess how far along she is, but I think she is pretty close
