Yes I have a kitten scale that I use for my foster kittens but I've never had newborns. When should I weigh them? Baby is nursing on mommy and mom has curled up around baby and appears to have gone to sleep. All panting has stopped and they are very quiet. I can see baby and hear him suckling

Weigh the baby when it's not suckling. Sounds like mom's taking a break and resting.

Awww such an adorable little tuxie! I don't know why but it seems like Calicos/torties produce the cutest kittens overall.

Perhaps number two is making his way. Shes had a rest and some food but now is doing the odd meow again like before.

It sounds like it's time for another kitten! Perhaps things will move along faster this time.

You want to look for a unique mark on the kittens like a patch over one eye the other one doesn't have or a spot in a different place. like on the hind leg or spots in different formations. for example one of my descriptions says three spots on back. Another says no spots on head.

It's hard to say she may do it or she may not. I had to remove three of the five placentas for Tia my new mama cat because she wasn't doing it.

You can trim the cord if you want.

Did you weigh the new baby?

Not yet Im worried about upsetting her? Should I do it now or weight until they've all delivered. I'm trying to photograph each one as she is distracted giving birth to another
