Hi there I'm new to this site, but hoping some of you will be able to help me with my cat Riley.

A year ago I rescued two wild kittens that were to be put down as the wild cat population on our farm is too high. They would of been about 10 days old I would say as it seemed they had just opened their eyes. I bottled fed them 5 times a day and to my surprise they both survived and have grown up to be wonderful pets. Although one of the kittens (Riley) has trouble with her back legs, I kept her hoping it may come right but it never has. She manages though and is in no pain at all, she has been taken to the vets a few times and they don't have too many answers for me they have just said that her legs are back to front, and that she is happy so isn't cruel to keep her.

Just wondering if anybody has seen any other cats like this and how common it is? Would be great to find somebody who has a cat like Riley, I think she is pretty special. She is one of the happiest cats I know, and think she's amazing the way she has adapted.

Thanks in advance !

Welcome to TCS @cally28. I have never had that issue with any of my cats. Riley is so pretty. She looks like she is just a doll to have around. I'm guessing it's just a birth defect. The thing is that right now it may not bother her but later in life it could cause her some distress with arthritis. She has such a lovely face.

I hope you can find someone here that will help you with the questions you have. We have many advisors and people that work with cats everyday. I'm sure someone will be around soon to give you some answers.
