First things first, these pictures were taken in July, but I haven't been able to get them altogether in one shot in ages!

Lady Marmalade would like to introduce you to her kittens: Biscuit, Butterbean, Tater-Tot and Posey. She is extremely proud of them!

Marmie is not quite feral; she doesn't run from me, but she doesn't let me touch her much, especially since I had her spayed. She has a brother (Scaredy-cat) who looks just like her, and a sister (Miss Kitty) Their mama (Spook, who is feral and perhaps the homeliest cat I have ever seen) brought them to me in November, after I rescued her and a few others. They were quite young , eyes still blue and could barely walk; Spook carried them one by one almost two miles to bring them to me.

Miss Kitty, though I'd appreciate it if you didn't tell the others, is my favorite. Unlike her brother and sister, she was always very friendly. (Also very talkative and extremely naughty!)

Please note how thin she is; I will be posting in the Health forum about this, I am at wits end!

At any rate, motherhood came as quite a shock to her ( to me, too; I had never had cats before and thought I had a year to get them fixed) She has been a good little mother, but she's had a frantic look ever since!

You can just see Poppet to the left of her; Poppet has two brothers: Beauregard Jackson Edward Lee (the grey one, of course)  and Doddlebug.

Beau is the handsomest of all the kittens, and one of the dearest.

Doodlebug is very curious and quite fearless.

Poppet is a holy terror, but very affectionate.

She has been naughty from the get-go; even before she could walk, she'd lie on her back and bat at her brothers' ears!

She uncannily resenmbles Edgar Allan Poe!

I guess I'll stop here. There are several more feral/semi-feral, but I don't want to outwear my welcome! And kindly excuse the mess; I used to have the loveliest porch, but the wee beasties have destroyed it! Surely by next year they will have outgrown the rambunctiousness???

Thank you for letting me go on and on...I am new to cats, and can't believe how hard and how quickly I have fallen completely in love!

They are adorable! Please share more! :) I regularly outwear my friends' welcome with (more) stories about the ferals, but this community is what pictures and stories are for <3
